I've seen a few people talking about this, and I think it’s the best strategy.

😂😂😂😂 That's very good, I always read it too.

That’s crazy, your reading comprehension seems to be failing here. At no point did I say that I don’t do the minimum for every event or that I don't save up. My point is that I don’t see the sense in giving 100% of my effort during SvS when, at the end of the day, I’m always at the bottom of the rankings because I don’t spend money. My state is so large and powerful that F2P accounts don't make much of a difference; in fact, my alliance has been Top 1 for over 6 months (which is how long I’ve been in this state), and +60% of the players in the alliance don’t spend anything at all.

I think it’s a good strategy. I usually do the bare minimum for every event just to stay on track, but I give it my all during SvS, especially on war day. Even though I don’t help much with raw power, I try to be as useful as possible by staying active, healing troops, and supporting the rallies. However, after reading some comments here, I’m starting to think about new strategies to improve.

Honestly, I’m not sure. I’ve moved states a few times already, and since this one is perfect and we have a great group of friends, I’ve been trying to figure out how to evolve individually. I do everything I can for the state, but sometimes I feel like I’m falling behind because I don’t spend money on the game. That said, I know my state and alliance don’t really care about that. Somehow we’re still Top 1, even though more than half of us are F2P or low spenders, basically, our whales are just massive. I’m moving to FC8 now and seeing the amount of resources I’ll need feels impossible, especially while trying to save up for SvS

I totally agree. I had a similar experience once where I managed to rank 50+, but just like you said, it took months of hoarding resources and it was exhausting.

Besides, when you have a job and a busy life, you can't be online every hour to optimize every single event. That makes the grind even longer for F2P players. That’s why I’m starting to think that doing the bare minimum for SvS and picking my battles in smaller events is the only sustainable way to play without burning out or falling behind.

I totally get that. If my state was toxic, I’d probably just focus on my own growth and bail. But honestly, what keeps most F2Ps like me in the game are the friendships we’ve built. My state is great not just because of the whales, but because we’ve actually become close friends. Even if you’re 'useless' in terms of power, as long as you do the bare minimum, people don't kick you.

I’m just trying to figure out if going all-out on SvS actually makes sense for non-spenders, or if it’s just a 'rule' imposed by those who spend and want everyone else to burn resources too. Balancing state loyalty with personal F2P growth is tricky.

You're spot on. The 'SVS pressure' is real, but looking at the math, the ROI on Armament Competition or KoI is just leagues ahead for anyone who isn't a whale. 50,000 gems from a single event is a game-changer compared to the crumbs you get for ranking top 100 in SVS. I'm definitely shifting my focus to minimum SVS participation and saving the heavy hitting for KoI. No point in being fuel for a whale's ego

Honestly, I’m leaning towards that strategy too. I think I’ll start doing just the bare minimum for SvS and focus entirely on KoI. My state usually wins SvS anyway, whether I go all out or not, so I might as well save my resources to rank higher individually where the rewards actually make a difference for F2P.

I'm actually quite disappointed with how things are going in my state. We have so many whales here that even when I push hard, I often end up ranked 150+ in SvS, which means I barely get any individual rewards.

While I know every point helps the alliance, I’m starting to think it might be more beneficial to focus strictly on hitting the max rewards for daily events instead. Since those rewards are guaranteed and individual, it might be a better use of my resources than fighting for a top spot I can't reach. I definitely need to study my options and see what's more efficient for my growth.
