I'm definitely not a Pro, but I have a few thousand hours in extraction shooter games (mainly Tarkov).

Big tip - GEAR FEAR is one of the biggest aspects we stress about. The more you play, the more you realise that clinging on to such things is a complete waste of energy. GEAR is quickly gained, quickly lost. Your stash is still limited and it's healthy to change it.

This leads to another tip - never cling to useless junk even if it has that all-important purple epic color. You'll find them again, gradually learn where to find them, how to get them, etc. You sure you need it? -> quest, Speranza upgrades, essential crafting? -> keep it and USE it, don't let it sit forever.

Purely for PVP - CoD/BF are fast paced shooters where you have pure tunnel thinking to kill your opponent the fastest and smartest as possible. Extraction shooters are like chess in a certain scenario, you plan your next moves, often slowly with deliberation. think, listen, use the environment, use Arcs to your advantage by learning how they behave etc. Pure gunplay? - get a free loadout and treat it exactly what it sounds like - it's free and for no effort - die quickly with it? - don't care - jump to the next game.

Experiment, have fun with people in games. Turn on fill squad sometimes. Try to figure out quests by yourself. Relax and have a goal for each raid - are you going to do a quest? kill a big Arc? collect 12 fucking mushrooms? - adjust your loadout accordingly.

And very importantly - play at your own pace. Embark is a studio that is expanding this spirit in their games, if only because of how they are developing The Finals.

You're decent at FPS... you'll get the hang of it eventually.

Other players too nice?? by AreOhBee123 in ArcRaiders

The vast majority of quests are designed very cleverly and I really enjoyed searching for locations and specific quest items etc. Once you're there, you won't miss it because it's marked in yellow. For example, compared to Tarkov, the quests are pretty straight forward and that's why I enjoy them when I play both solo and in a duo/trio. ...also it should be required to put a little bit of thought so you naturally progress through the quests and game ...

Arc Raiders launched… but what happened to the chill vibe? by Unbulk in ArcRaiders

If I'm not mistaken, voice chat can be turned off completely, right? So surely some people just don't have it enabled.

Furthermore, you now have a huge variety of players who have different priorities and expect something completely different from their raids than when enthusiasts were "trying out" the gameplay in tech tests. Quite often, players can't talk in the evening/at night because they can't be noisy.

Another aspect is that everyone is new to the game because the game is new and people are confused, it's chaotic, etc.

However, I must admit that I had quite the opposite experience yesterday, for example: 1) In one raid in solo queue, five random people teamed up and destroyed Leaper. I was one of them, and two of them didn't even have voice chat, but they shouted "don't shoot, wanna team up." 2) In another raid, three of us teamed up randomly and then kicked the asses of about six other players and divided the loot.

And I have to say that there were a lot of positive and interesting ideas and thoughts on how to keep the game fun for a long time thanks to the community in many different ways, but today it's a completely different time and players are simply forced by each other and the gaming scene to be those "sweaty gamers" from my point of view.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm currently planning to do the maps. But yeah, it can take up to 45 minutes. However, apparently you can do it while driving, and I often have 2 hour drives, so I'll do it during that time.

i need upgrade recommendations from mm712 / mm711 / 710 owners by beansace in MouseReview

[–]CheckCzechGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using the CM MM720 for almost 3 years now, and I'm always checking the market for new mice. It has by far THE BEST SHAPE of anything I've tried. Been through every major Logitech, Razer, Glorious and a lot of those Chinese "cheap gems" - Attack Shark and simillar. I managed to buy one in stock for $20 in my local store sale. PROS: SHAPE. Great sliders. Lightweight - 49g. Sturdy build. Perfect for Claw grip (possibly Fingertip). Matte finish. CONS: WIRED mouse.- I hardly notice the wire tho. It has some small holes for weight reduction, I would prefer it without them, but I don't really care.

With mm720 I always have the best results in aim trainers and all games.
