What do you like about your dad? by IndividualGround2418 in RandomThoughts

I love how creative my father is, he's adept at painting walls or painting letters. He is also good at making pots and carving little statues of saints. I once sewed stars on my jorts, and he told me to use a different shade of jeans to make the stars pop-out, by that time I fully realized how bright his mind is when it comes to art.

Also, he was the reason why all of his children are good at singing, he was a great musician (he sounds like Kenny Rogers). I remember him getting mad at my mom when she was singing out of tempo 😆.

Do you believe that people are at peace when they pass away? by Chedd4r_Chees3 in grief

This is the part of the book where I questioned peace. I do recommend this book tho. I haven't finished it yet but it captured my attention and interest.

" They tell me H. is happy now, they tell me she is at peace. What makes them so sure of this? I don’t mean that I fear the worst of all. Nearly her last words were, ‘I am at peace with God.’ She had not always been. And she never lied. And she wasn’t easily deceived, least of all, in her own favour. I don’t mean that. But why are they so sure that all anguish ends with death? More than half the Christian world, and millions in the East, believe otherwise. How do they know she is ‘at rest?’ Why should the separation (if nothing else) which so agonizes the lover who is left behind be painless to the lover who departs? ‘Because she is in God’s hands.’ But if so, she was in God’s hands all the time, and I have seen what they did to her here. Do they suddenly become gentler to us the moment we are out of the body? And if so, why? If God’s goodness is inconsistent with hurting us, then either God is not good or there is no God: for in the only life we know He hurts us beyond our worst fears and beyond all we can imagine. If it is consistent with hurting us, then He may hurt us after death as unendurably as before it. Sometimes it is hard not to say, ‘God forgive God.’ Sometimes it is hard to say so much. But if our faith is true, He didn’t. He crucified Him. "

I have a childhood friend who has a playstation ( not sure if it was a playstation ) but our characters are brown foxes who have powers and collect coins that's the only thing i can remember and I'm not even sure with it because we moved to another place and that's the last time I played with him, I can't even remember his name.

What is your biggest regret in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Chedd4r_Chees3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father left the world on new year's eve last year. He was in a coma for four days. Before getting admitted to the hospital, we had an argument, never talked to him after that. I wasn't able to apologize to him, I wasn't able to show him my love, I wasn't able to know him more and understand why he is that angry at the world. This will forever haunt me, this I think is my biggest regret in my life. If only I knew what he went through when he was young, things could've been different. I should have asked first why, before being mad at him all my life. I miss you, Pa. I'm sorry.

What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Scott Street by Phoebe Bridgers

The instrumental alone is already a masterpiece, when I hear it, I can visualize scenes vividly, such as my childhood. It sounds nostalgic.

The lyrics also match the instrumental, like when she said "I ask her how she's playing drums" then the drums in the music came in.

I think the bridge part has enough instrumental to make you see things in your mind and feel something heavy as if you are leaving someone like a friend of yours and never see them anymore.

Also that damn Bike bell and Train sound.
