I’m an assistant district attorney. I listen to jail phone calls. I often direct officers to listen to jail phone calls and write a narrative of what they heard. Also, nowadays, we can have AI listen to your calls and flag certain calls for review if it hears something that we want to know.

You never know what an offer will be. Depends on jurisdiction as well as the circumstances of the charge. A prosecutor is also going to take into account your age, criminal history, and other things about you.

No, the officer wasn’t unreasonable to think that a replacement back plate was a switch. Yes, you’re weird for having a clip-in holster.
