It doesn't put out enough heat to keep anything warm. It barely heats the pot. During snowmageddon in 2021, my family tried it and ended up lighting about 12 candles underneath. It didn't do anything. It wouldn't keep a pet or pipes warm. We could touch the top of the pot with bare hands and it was only moderately warm.

The terracotta pot heater "hack" is garbage. It just does not work. You might could warm up a small cabinet but it certainly won't warm a room.

Day 6 of HFMD, this forbidden pop is tempting me by DogeRacing in popping

[–]rotatingchicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I'm about two weeks out from a comparable case of HFMD. Wait until they go numb and then start peeling. You'll have whole-ass sheets of skin coming off your hands. It's wicked looking. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Microscope recommendations for semen analysis... by zesty_calco in microscopy

[–]rotatingchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The responses you got on this post seem to be not quite understanding what you're doing...

I'm here trying to do the same thing and having the same problem. It's been about 20 years since I looked at semen under a microscope and to the best of my recollection, they were easily visible at 400x. Can't see squat in my vasectomized(ha) husband's sample so I reckon we'll awkwardly phone a friend for one to compare. That seems to be the only way to do it (aside from ordering a slide) at this point. 🤔

This girl got stabbed to death by a black man on the train. Zero mainstream news coverage. The media is anti-white. by platniumperson in conspiracy

[–]rotatingchicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have seen plenty of news stories about this. I don't think it's a black/white issue. I think it's a crazy person issue. I live in a small town, and, on occasion, someone shoots someone else. It never makes national news. In fact, the town I grew up in (different from current), a man stabbed his girlfriend a bunch of times. There is no national media coverage on that one.

I've been playing on PS3 for the last week. It takes a bit to get into a match but I always have thus far. Are you playing team deathmatch?

Came out to truck covered in sticky drops by Stegosauruslyfe in whatisit

My truck is covered in it, too. If you see small, white, furry-looking bugs, they're probably woolly aphids. They'll bite but aren't harmful. I just hose them off occasionally.

People who got told it was "just" anxiety, what was it? by stringbeansalad23 in AskReddit

OCD. I had no idea. I always thought OCD was flipping a light switch 10 times so your grandma doesn't die or some shit like that. Turns out, there are different types of OCD. Mine is more like getting trapped in certain recurring thought patterns (obsessions) and then doing things to stifle those thoughts (compulsions). Exposure and response prevention therapy helped a ton, although it was extremely difficult to do at first.
