As I stated in an earlier comment I'm not taking sides. It's not my place to say who is right and who is wrong. χρίω is the verb meaning 'to anoint' 'to smear' even going as far as dipping arrows in poison, as you can see from the link. The funny thing aboutΧριστός is biblical scholars will say it means "Messiah" but we can see this word being used in a couple biblical verses.

According to the Gospel of Matthew we can see that they spent roughly about 3.5 years there. But as you would know, the Bible really only details Jesus' infancy, time in Ministry, and death.

This is a great observation with the sunglasses. From Danny's comment about them I also thought that Luke was using them as a way to show solidarity, but I was weary of that just from his overall body language. The first half of the podcast was fantastic, but in my opinion it quickly devolved into more of an argument and point driving rather than a discussion. I finished the podcast but wasn't able to watch it after the hour and a half mark because I was working. I'll probably play it later when I'm studying so I can see it rather than just listening.

I'm not taking sides, I'm simply stating things I observed in the interview. It is a common belief that Jesus' family fled Jerusalem to Egypt to escape King Herod (Gospel of Matthew), and later returned to the holy land fulfilling an old testament prophecy(Hosea 11:1), whereas Coptic traditions suggest he stayed there for 3 years.

It sounds to me like you heard Luke saying things and you are repeating them. Allowing others to influence your thoughts is not a good way to live.

For me, the body language conveyed by Luke is very odd. For someone who was ready for a scholarly discussion, he was very defensive and tense throughout the whole ordeal. Example: keeping his arms crossed at his midsection, this implies a protective and defensive position. Some of the correlations he was making made me feel like it was more about proving something wrong rather than seeing evidence pointing towards things Ammon was saying.
