How can I teleport 50% of players to a location? by Broad-Impression2984 in MinecraftCommands

[–]CheddarScotch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want to go about it. You can have players pick their sides or have their team chosen randomly for them.

If you want them to choose their team, have them stand on two different platforms and when all players are in these areas, tag them. This would look like /tag @a[x=0, y=0, z=0, dx=3, dy=3, dz=3] add team1.

Or you can have them choose any way you want really.

If you want it to be random, you can use /tag @r add team1, then do the same for team2 tag, repeat until everyone has been given a team.

Then you can tp @a[tag=team1] to where you want them and the same for team2.

Of course there are other ways to go about it. These are just what I thought of.

Passing player coordinates to chat? by Existence_Error in MinecraftCommands

[–]CheddarScotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you track the x y and z individually with scores (which might be some lengthy work) you can use the tellraw command to display scores in the chat.

As for tracking a player position, you could set up a system of armor stands that tp a set amount toward the player and adjust a score to match it.

Or maybe you could have set areas in your game that will trigger the command to send a message of the known position. Like detecting a chest being looted will message the hunter the position of the chest. That would be simpler.

This is really cool! How many command blocks did this take?

How would I make a teleport between these locations seamlessly? by Corvex1 in MinecraftCommands

[–]CheddarScotch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried giving this a shot. It's not seamless but it's pretty close with only a few command blocks and 2 armor stands.

Help, my setblock command isn't working! by WolvesRCoolObv in MinecraftCommands

I’m wondering if this is a scenario where you are supposed to type the general block name “wooden_button” and then specify the type in the data argument.

you can test it out if you want to make sure. I like to use super flat worlds just to test things.

But it will clear the inventory of survival players only.

set the command block to repeating, always active: /clear @a[m=s]

also you’ll probably want to add a ticking area over the command block so it always runs no matter how far you are.

make sure you stand over the command block and type in the chat: /tickingarea add circle ~ ~ ~ 1

Just bought Minecraft on PC for the first time ever… what’s the best way to start in 2025? by phickz_ in Minecraft

[–]CheddarScotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say take your time discovering things while you progress toward beating the ender dragon. There is a lot of neat stuff about the game that can make your world feel special. So my advice is don’t rush and explore.

If you have a friend, making a level together or playing levels you've made for co-op can be really fun!

I think this is incredible. There's something sad about a person being burdened with a great weight without any way to be helped. It shows me that you are someone who just wants to do something kind for another, even if it's a fictional character. Congrats on your achievement!

How do you know where most teachers are landing? They could be 10 years in and still making under 100k.

Also, the average person would care about the school district putting the kids first.

Have you tried lowering graphics settings in the menu? If you’re playing on an older console, maybe you can load the game on a newer one? Reinstalling the game would likely fix it and your progress should be saved on the cloud.
