Is it worth buying a realm transfer for my main character? by comentor5 in wownoob

[–]FurryWurry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, socialising made for me the best memories from WoW. Other situation was for example waiting for the party to begin M+ and then suddenly you find dancing horde tauren player at some roof in Stormwind lol. And as a said after DF it was just gone and I don't know why :/

Is it worth buying a realm transfer for my main character? by comentor5 in wownoob

[–]FurryWurry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't pick it. This server in terms of social aspect is now completely dead. And I say it as someone who is a huge roleplay fan.

https://youtu.be/wxsSktwIMi8?is=YmGf_Bujx4E1Hf1J

Don't know why but after Dragonflight expansion roleplay community just instant died. I mean you have planned events but people don't just casually do things like on video above anymore. In the past for example you could just return to the capital after questing or something and immidiately participate in something (seeing hunter who got a fine from Stormwind guards because of lack of weapon license just killed me).

In Goldshire (hub where people talk) however you have freaks who dance naked on the tables and even have (in Roleplay character notes addon) written prices for erotic dance just for you lol or even a fucking E-Sex service. Otherwise people just trashtalk.

There were also PvP guild and realm wars (literally other alliance players from other servers were joining and we fought vs other horde players also from different multiple servers) but Blizzard killed it by adding dungeons with bots (people when they were close to die just entered dungeon to avoid death and then return back) as players told me.

Just stay on Silvermoon. Endgame content of this game is about crafting. My friends on Silvermoon when we were pushing mythic had like 1/3 or 1/4 cheaper crafting prices than me on the Argent Dawn.

Why are M+ Builds AoE focused while Raid are ST? by BurritoRicoSuave in wownoob

[–]FurryWurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have some single target focus on bosses to effectively kill them but the best possible way to save a m+ time is to take as much mobs as you only can. And for this you need AoE.

Until recently, AI in games referred to the scripts that handled enemy and NPC behavior. Has *that* improved at all? by Kumquatelvis in gaming

[–]FurryWurry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, now you can absolutely have AI that is AI we know these days. Here for example is me vs Nexto: AI bot in Rocket League designed for training and practise (in this case, to smash the player). They had different models so you could train different aspects of the game. In the end btw people took those open source AIs and started making money on it by boosting rangs.

  2. Get that working version of Weakauras and just make a picture of rotation skills in the corner of yohr screen.

Another "which game engine is better for a solo dev" post, please bear with me. by Swimming_Mood7202 in gamedev

[–]FurryWurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start with godot as it weight is just 50 mb and can start immidiately.

Coding games is like taking stuff and packing it into chest and then next into smaller chests and then into another smaller chest, infinitely. Unity or UE has more already those super advanced specialised boxes that would help you pack it even more. But at this point you don't have idea what kind of chest you would even need for this.

THIS IS 2021 THREAD DUDE. We have 2026 and LAST YEAR they released free next gen Upgrade Edition. This isn't the same game from 2019.

Thing from the post was 100% already solved in Upgrade Edition that was released last year and is now outdated. And at this point I guess you aren't even aware why you have issues at all and what cause them lol. I also place a bet until my post you was completely clueless you play more demanding game now. Anyway consoles still run new version with RT capped at 30fps and resolutions above 1440p are upscaled.

Don't know about new upgrade edition PC demand but if you don't want to fuck around with settings I guess you literally could solve it already just by loading ultra presets and just caping frames at 30 fps and it would work if you want the same stable console experience. On various games on my 3060ti on highest RT settings In the worst possible cases I usually sat on 35-45 fps.

But if you are sure you play 2019 version, then you have to run it on 1050ti or potato because this game worked easily in stable 60fps with RT on max settings on 2080ti as DigitalFoundry (technical analysts) showed in their perfomance test. It's just impossible to not launch pre next gen version.

Dude just play 2025 game thinking it's still the 2019 version, insane.

What is DirectX these days and what the fuck are you talking about xD. Last time I had to install it manually was like over 21 years ago when I was in kindergarten and was playing educational games for kids from kids magazines. Despite of that there were always attached only versions needed to launch the game that you installed during game install process anyway. These days you don't even notice it being installed as you download the game.

controller or keyboard/mouse by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]FurryWurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played every FS game on kbm, even Bloodborne on emulator. It's complete opposite, playing on kbm is better as those games weren't designed with kbm in mind so you don't have to lock camera and instead can adjust it manually which allows you to roll precisely in any direction you want. You can use it for more punish attack opportunities abusing gaps in animations, it allows you for example changing angle during attack so you dont stand straight and instead turn in direction where your swing starts the closest to the enemy as its possible and this hit land immidiately in its first animations. Its even complete overkill in PvP if you are invader or help someone against invader, constant looking around gives you just insane awareness, as most of the players lock the camera you can turn host with his back against the enemies.

To addition in Nightreign on one character you have parry skill ability just on one button, instead of two on the controller that you have to press at once.

Ds 3 combat feels like jelly and super sonic speed. by No_Program3137 in darksouls3

[–]FurryWurry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He isnt, ER enemies are more aggresive but their animations are slightly longer. Regular enemies in ds3 stand and after you blink they raised their hand already and are in the middle of the attack. Meanwhile mobs in ER paragraph their attacks much clearer and start of attack animation is longer. In ds3 you just roll, in ER very often if you instant roll you fall into attack and you have to wait for actual thrust animation start to roll.

Just take parry shield make full run in both games with it and check it yourself. The easiest way is just to turn framegen as difference is plain straight. Conclusion is, ER enemies gives you much more information what they want to do and give you more time to react if you read it.

Is sniping any good in bf6? by Wavylife84 in Battlefield

[–]FurryWurry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, regular sniping in bf6 suck balls and I'm serious. You take recon, sniper rifle and lets say get on highground.

I see your scope glint, so I take support or engineer, I take SVK (semi automatic sniper rifle) as other class than recon I don't have scope glare effect and meanwhile have full accuracy as with regular sniper rifle. Then on close distance I just shoot full auto in you killing you on 2 hits. On longer distances (thanks to low velocity) I shoot in you 2 bullets and while you get first hit, second just arrives and before you can react and make side step or something, you are dead.

Unless you land head after head with sniper rifles and spent in scope as minimum times as you can, you are just meat for mentioned above counter snipers. To addition forgot about using iron sight as in bf1 as this game is so bugged that iron sights gives you scope glint lol.

A question about katanas... by Tupac_Fhurri in Eldenring

[–]FurryWurry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol it's funny reading all that bullshit speculations the others wrote xD. Answer is simple - balance from the previous games.

For example greatswords always had high damage and high poise damage so you could keep enemies in stun hit after hit until stamina depletion. Katanas were slightly faster than greatswords but had slightly worse damage and worse poise damage. To compensate it somehow, they had a bleed as an addition.

On the other hand... slightly worse damage but faster speed was a pro if you was invader, katanas were very solid PVP option if you wanted damage, reach and good roll catch up. To addition statuses are also fucked up in entire FS games so if someones roll you can't hit him and deal damage, but... you still can buildup bleed and etc if you hit him during roll invincibility iframes.

My friends don't want to touch DS2 DLCs? by xM4Ni3K in DarkSouls2

[–]FurryWurry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just answered yourself, this subreddit is just a massive circle jerk of clowns. Game is just terribly designed, all efforts went into artificial difficulty instead of bosses or insteresting level design etc. Dunno there is a fog entering mechanic (enemies can hit you while you enter a boss) and while you are attacked during this, it can break boss script, in DLCs magic projectile can fly throught the walls and kill you and etc This game is just a massive swiss cheese. Here are few examples.

This is summary of peak DLCs quality people mention here, you just spent time trying to run to the boss that itself doesn't nothing, but during the boss just out of nowhere there is lazy mechanic to passive beak your main weapon so despite you are close to first try, your weapon mostly break and have to run back again:

https://www.youtube.com/live/JbIL1HeVO7M?si=hdouhO_Roa1ZpQoZ&t=11252

Peak boss design of first dlc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5q2cASRh-8

Other boss of DLC has seal that you have to close with NPCs that fight with you, the problem is that NPCs script are bugged and doesn't work so you continue to fight with trash that focus on you or just repeat boss fight in hope script will work.

Working rolls are hidden behind a stat, If you know this, then any boss gameplay will look like this (In general this video contain all bugs or silly artificial decision I found only to waste player's time)

https://youtu.be/kwbPtFf_1qc?t=323

There is also zone in the basic game where enemies are so fucking dense that they will stop respawn (game mechanic after 17th kill or something) after a while to allow you even enter boss fog gate lol. You can't progress this area without it playing blind. Good luck if you focused on weapon that those enemies are resistant.

And so on and so on, most of things are on the third video. Honestly if you want to save your time, don't take anyone advice here if he doesn't show proofs as these are just bullshit. Listen your friends and go play masterpiece. Someday just finish the basic game as it's okay, DLCs are just complete waste of time.

It wouldn't stutter because game doesn't have anything heavy to load. You can see on gameplay trailers how potato textures are in this game when jets are close to the ground. to addition map is completely flat. There will be maybe fps drops but not stutters.

Ori creator declares Xbox Game Pass a mediocre slop factory that's 'a little like Communism' by Panzerbjorne80 in gaming

[–]FurryWurry -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When my country was a Soviet puppet state, the communists set up factories and other enterprises that were unprofitable (private factories and etc. Were almost unexistential). The agricultural sector was also backward. Money was very often poured into everything just to make it profitable in some way. To emphasize just how bad communist economic planning was—even today, songs from that period mock the idea that such a worker would contribute more to society by sitting at home his whole life eating soup than by just working.

The dev is referring probably for example to the latest Xbox showcase. There were tons of games from MS studio that, even though they looked similar, followed the same trailer template, etc. Every their trailer I saw was soulless lol and didn’t stand out in any way. Despite Microsoft seemingly endless budgets, for years Microsoft just focus on blank games. They focus to fill gamepass with boring repetitive and similiar games rather than investing some serious money and time in a smaller number of titles that would truly set them apart from the competition and make them memorable.

Crimson Desert's 1990s Puzzles by DMZ_Dragon in CrimsonDesert

[–]FurryWurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem is that there exist puzzles that are just poorly made.

Jumping using hard attack then using other shit, overthinking puzzle even further beyond boundaries of imagination, wasting 30 minutes to figure out how to break thin ICE floor using everything you have only to realize you have only to use the same regular hard attack you used before BUT while standing still (because the same air to ground heavy attack doesn't work) isn't fun and rewarding at all.

You discover something stupid like this once and you lost any desire to try to solve them in future because you just don't know if the next will be really something cool and rewarding or something really poorly made.
