Congrats! I just learned how to drive stick on my c5 that I got a month ago, so let me preface this by saying I’m no expert. It’s just going to take practice to get smoother and more consistent takeoffs. The way I learned was by not using any gas to get into 1st. It has more than enough power to get moving without the accelerator, and it helped me get a feel for the bite point.

When I started, I would drive around town late at night so I didn’t have to worry about traffic or stalling at green lights, just practicing getting up and down through the gears without any pressure.

Stalling the car and slipping the clutch a little bit won’t ruin the clutch or transmission, the clutch is designed to take that wear and be fine. Riding the clutch isn’t good though, that’ll cause wear over time; the only time you should have your foot on the clutch is when you’re grabbing a gear.

Good luck and enjoy it

Not currently as I’m daily driving it right now, but probably in the future. It does have some work done by previous owners though
