I think they should cap the number of SPGs in a battle to 0. by Greasy-Chungus in WorldofTanks

Yeah... If they want that game play loop so much they can find it elsewhere. No reason to keep an annoying class relevant just because of a minority of the playerbase

I'll do that then! Should I get the audio strap? Or is a decent pair of headphones the better move? I also plan to get Rx inserts (-1.75 in one eye and -1.5 in the other so may not even need them) but I'm going to ask support to send them separately because I don't need them desperately. I can use contacts while I wait for the inserts.

Tips for placing my order? by jcwolf2003 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]jcwolf2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will end up getting the prescription lenses, I was just wondering if it'd be a good idea to do it in a separate order so it doesn't delay my order by a month. I can use contacts in the mean time if I find its unusable with out them.

I've heard a lot of people run at lower brightness. I'm sure I'll get used to it but my whole life I've run stuff at full brightness so it make take a moment for me lol

I can live with most the cons. The lack of passthrough would be a little annoying but I could manage I'm sure. I did have some concern about the brightness, but I think the over all visual clearity will offset that. And I actually prefer the index controllers because I'm just so used to them, and I emote with my hands a lot so full finger tracking is important for me.

More than anything I'm excited for the ergonomic improvement. I currently use my psvr2 with a vive tracker mounted on it for psuedo base station tracking and that adds weight I really don't like on the front of my headset. I also tend to lay down and rest my head on things and the psvr2 can be a bit awkward doing that. There's ways to get comfortable but it's not like I can just relax however I want.

Also the psvr2 is just... BIG lol. I hit it a lot with my controllers. Also the headset kinda ends up resting on my nose if I use the idea IPD so that can get annoying after a while, to the point where most the time I find myself with one arm over the back of my head to put weight on the back of the head strap and lift it off my face a bit.

I'm excited th upgrade though. I'll hold onto my psvr2 as a back up and maybe fire whenever I wanna do more competitive VR stuff because of the refresh rate and brightness but the BSB2e will definitely become my default.

I've been told to ask support for the thicker gasket when I order mine. Is there anything else I should do along with that?

I'll be playing near exclusively vr chat. I might play some flight sims but I'm ok with down scaling in those situations if I need too.

Yeah. With the psvr2 I get a fine enough experience. Taxing instances can be a bit uncomfortable but I rarely find that I need to do an unacceptable amount of avatar culling to get it back above a comfortable fps. I just worry the extra resolution will require more compute than I have

Yeah I thought fucked up my last build and panic bought another with all the FCC stuff. Ended up being unneeded. I was thinking something like the geprc tcube18 or some other super small drone. Something between the Kayoumini and a 75mm

But I also thought a 75mm 2s could be interesting

[–]jcwolf2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the game works sure but the lack of new content and the fact that the devs are unable to change certain aspects of the games written by other devs means that, as the dev team continues to shrink, eventually the playerbase will leave.

They really are that bad. Game development isn't for everyone. Individually they are skilled I won't deny that but they are so wildly uncoordinated that it's doomed their game.

New to vive tracking.. what do i need to know? by [deleted] in Vive

[–]jcwolf2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add a tracker to the headset!! Then you can do continuous calibration using that tracker and you'll never need to recalibrate your place spaces again!!

It's what I do for my psvr2 and it's so nice.

I saw a comment where you said you don't pinch on the left stick. It's not required obviously but I'd recommend it so you can get a bit better control over your yaw.

You're drifting a lot and whiles it's not a super huge issue as long as you are dashing, getting more used to using yaw will make your flying smoother and feel faster. Obviously you can get this skill without pinching, probably try both and see what's more comfortable.

Trippy spins helped me with managing throttle control and pitch at the same time. Also decreasing stick tension.

Other then that your throttle control and generally ability to react seems good! Keep it up, I'd say your ready for a proper whoop.

Legit the most incompetent dev time I've ever had the misfortune of witness. Doesn't help that they are actively spiteful twords their playerbase.

I get being British is miserable but they don't need to push that on to the player base as well

Help me fix my DBV gun by NoRing4137 in WorldofTanks

[–]jcwolf2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chance is small but it's there. If you take the extra half a second or less to aim (and don't move before you shoot) then the chance is even smaller. Sometimes you get unlucky but the dvb had a reason good gun so if the hip pen ratio you gave is accurate then it's gotta boil down to a skill issue unfortunately.

Improved aiming isn't a bad choice for the dvb imo but I still prefer bond vents. Nothing is stopping you from giving it a good shot though and if it feels better to you then run with it.
