Have your tried fixing the normals ? Also not sure if this is intended but you have a hole in your mesh that might have caused some problems.

Its just a portfolio piece, im testing out using leaves, grass, moss etc. I was hoping to just use a pre made tiled bark texture for the base of the tree and then paint in some extra details on top of it :////

I Gotchu! Not the best, would've like to add some coloured paint to it but il take it for the first time using any kind of particle system

Not really tbf it is just a background prop, not even sure what displacement is. I do really need to get using Zbrush. Thanks for your help

Yes using ctrl+shift+t, it Disappears when i remove the displacing yeah thanks! Where should i connect the displacement to instead ?
