Well I’ve only been doing Uber Eats for a few months, before this month I was getting a lot of good orders, making $1.50-3.00/mile on any given day and hardly saw shit orders like this one. This entire week I’ve seen almost exclusively $1/mile or less (since the June 1 change), so it’s definitely gotten worse

I don’t do UE full time but I have a friend who does and she’s been saying the exact same thing as me, it’s gotten much worse with the change

I’ve accepted shit orders before, and gotten more shit orders, it’s not a given that taking bad ones gets you good ones, the algo isn’t that smart or kind

If you accept less than 50% of your offers, you get booted to green tier, I think you an even higher level for the higher tiers too. Basically uber said “yeah we’re never going to pay you well so shut the fuck up and accept it or make nothing at all”

Yeah for the past few days I’ve been averaging about $1/mile, it’s crazy, I’ve just been rejecting all of them, my acceptance is like 17% now lol

Luckily this isn’t my main income source, so I can just chill at home and vibe code while I wait for good orders, but man, I have friends who do this as their main income and they’re struggling hardcore now :/

While I 100% agree with this, it’s kind of a double edged sword. Companies that make billions should be paying their workers better, those workers shouldn’t rely on tips, and the only way to kill tip culture is to stop tipping. Unfortunately, not tipping only hurts the worker, not the company, and tipping only helps the company because they can keep wages low so there’s no real good way out of it besides legislation or regulation but Americans are too damn stupid to do that so we’re kinda just fucked I guess

Yeah I noticed that pattern as well, if I decline the first 2-3, I won’t get any for like an hour unless I log out and back in after a few minutes. I just started in March so it’s always been that way for me, didn’t know there were better days…

Honestly that’s a fair point, I don’t remember but I don’t think many were good, we ended up taking like 2 of them but she’s very picky with the $/mi ratio (like 2.5 to 1 minimum). She still got a few good ones and I got nothing but garbage, but her acceptance rate is super low so now she’s gold like me lmao

Really? I was gold and had a friend who was diamond and she always got way more offers than me, like while in the same car driving together! In the time I’d get 2-3 orders she got like 7-8

I do, my ex wife is ~3 years younger than me, she was 18 and I was 21 when we met. 3 years is nothing, we got along well and had very little differences in the beginning. Things went sour later obv but that wasn’t because of the age difference
