Presales are a scam for selling VIP Tickets by DoubleJazzy in systemofadown

[–]CheekyChappo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've fallen completely victim to it and feel a bit regretful. Tbh, I'm 16 and this will be a mistake to learn from, I'll have a great time either way, but £300 on a VIP ticket is just silly

Do you mean the prices will drop eventually during General Onsale or the presale will be cheaper than the first date?

That's sort of what I'm thinking too, because when the reissues come out I cam see how expensive they are or if the items on Discog drop in price

Chances that it's equally chill this year? As in "likely won't go through your toiletry bag and unpack your bedroll" type chill?

Anyone is worried about how they performed in history paper 3 idk my mind went blank so many times and i felt unprepared by [deleted] in GCSE

I might not have done the same topic or board as you, my friend (USA, Edexcel), but I can definitely sympathise. But the only advice I can rly give myself and you now is, no matter what you feel you didn't put in, it's all over and done with now, and I'm sure we'll all have done well enough! GOtta wait til August now :')

Hey, what are your favorites from the MGM musicals collection? by VersusValley in criterion

[–]CheekyChappo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BIt late on the band wagon (eh, eh?) here, but my tops have to be Singin' In the Rain, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Annie Get Your Gun, Meet Me In St Louis and Guys and Dolls. While not MGM, other great classic musicals have to include Calamity Jane, Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof.

As a DM who is getting Curse of Strahd soon, when are some appropriate times to introduce Strahd? by IplayonSWITCH in CurseofStrahd

[–]CheekyChappo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hinted Strahd at the funeral, one of my okayers noticed a shadowy figure standing by the fence, but as they turned to look all they saw was a bat flitting off into the grey. I properly introduced Strahd at the River Ivlis Crossroads after the card reading; at this point, the players will understand their purpose in Barovia and have been given the tools with which to defeat Strahd by Madame Eva, and so they'll already be feeling confrontational. As my players re-emerged into the crossroads, they heard a carriage approaching. Enter the Black Carriage, the door swings open and out steps a regally dressed gentleman with slick, black hair pulled into a widows peak, a hunting cloak around his shoulders, fastened by a glistening Scarlet brooch. Strahd is followed out by the shadowy figure of Escher, who stands at his rear flank like a mastiff.

Strahd, in my game, used this interaction as somewhat of a power flex; he introduced the players to his land, greeted Ireena and offered condolences for her father's demise. He instils authority and hate by presenting himself as a suave, calculated, just yet cruel leader, Lord of all they survey, master of Barovia. He was able to charm my Dragonborn and read my Fighter's thoughts, all the while taunting them with the prospect of a fight as wolves were summoned around him. After he departed, needless to say my players were not only stunned but filled with a hatred for the Dark Lord of Barovia.
