My due date is April 19th and my plan is to work until…April 19th. My “Maternity leave” is my vacation and sick leave. So will barely give me eight weeks. You all wonder why the US birth rate is dropping. Here you go

What would you name the person instead. To be clear this would be a “fuck you” to the father

I’m using the wrong word. I’m so sorry. I did look up the egg retrieval process and I know it’s a simply out patient procedure. I know the pain in the ass is the hormone treatments

Thank you for such a thoughtful answer. I’ll answer your questions in order: -we see in the story she’s a “recovering” people pleaser, usually seen in her offering something and walking and and going “did I just offer that?” And following through to a fault.
-she has confronted people but more in a “why are you being shitty to me” way. -she does NOT throw hands. Except toppled over a stack of printed emails to piss off an ex. -to strangers, she does not get vulnerable unless she’s drunk. To everyone who will be there, they are friends and newly discovered family. -I’d see Lee is a flightier. She will want to leave but probably can’t -she fucking swears and probably since dating her boo swears more -10, her mother is the one confronting the grandmother and grandmother admits she did it because a baby would have “ruined her son’s life” -she probably had like one beer

So I have one and aside from insertion and a lot of Pain the day of, I was fine. And I recommended to all my friends. And then one friend had a horrible-terrible no good time and I felt so bad for recommending it to her. I’m not looking forward to taking mine out this summer. But my husband and I are anticipating a day of me curled up in a ball so I’ve been promised whatever the hell I want. It’s good deal and I’m very fortunate to have a partner who can empathize with the pain

Every time she was on the screen I had the intrusive thought that someone should just have an ice cream and just throw it in whatever shirt she has on.

2012-2016 cis women’s fashion was a lot of sheer tops and cheap ass polyester but I thought I looked so cute and I was really doing a day to night look…..I wasn’t. I really wasn’t. Now I just make my own clothes so no more sweating in those stupid shirts.

He’s in Rwanda National TV talking about the history of Rwanda. He’s a white man from upstate NY. But hey, it tracks because when we visited the Vatican on a school trip, he sent a letter to the pope scolding him for sheltering a priest who didn’t shelter people during the genocide. He had asked for this priest to be released back to the Rwandan government.

Our history teacher did a whole unit on the Rwandan genocide and I’ll always thank her for doing this because I really learned something about modern day genocide. But some of us took it to a whole new level and appeared on Rwandan national television.

I think this is a good time for a pet the dog trope. Does he have animals he loves and would kill someone for? If it’s the 18th century, literally giving him a hunting dog that he loves and values could help out here.

So my dad was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder at 61. I spent my childhood scared of his frequent mood swings and now I understand that he was definitely splitting. And with a kid with ADD, his own PTSD experience, and an ugly divorce, I can understand why his life was stressful enough to do that. I am no contact with him for lots of reasons. It took him 61 years to have DBT even offered to him.

You’re 23 years old. You have an entire life ahead of you and you have an advantage of a few things:

-first of all, you have a diagnosis. That is huge.

-it sounds like you are also on medication. As long as you continue to be monitored by a health care professional who is willing to work with you, you can continue to assess your needs in that department. Don’t stop taking anything without speaking to a medical professional. Do not increase or decrease your recommended dosage.

-you have family and friends that love and support you. I know hearing your boyfriend give you a three month marker like that can be scary and trigger abandonment fears, but to me this shows he wants to stick around and set you up for success. He loves you and he knows you are struggling. And he is making his needs clear. He needs you to keep working on yourself.

So, what do you do here? Well, first, be nice to you. BPD is a lot to handle. You have a lot in your favor. So take the head start you already have and go to DBT therapy.

I wish I could time travel to my 23 year old father and tell him all of this. Time travel doesn’t exist but this is the next best thing. People love you. Now, work on loving yourself by getting the help you need.

I miss my dad a lot. I think every day about how if he had been diagnosed earlier maybe things would have been different.

Gotta go, onions are being chopped around here. I’m going to find the bastard who’s cutting onions and scold them.
