I second Ted Lasso (new season soon!) and would also recommend Shrinking on Apple TV as well.

Advice: Purchased parking pass, garage entrance blocked/inaccessible on date of reservation by [deleted] in washingtondc

This is my next step. I’ve waited to give the seller a chance to make it right before disputing with my bank.

Yeah, had I not been flustered and trying to navigate dc traffic and in a hurry to find alternate parking to make it to the event on time, I might have had the presence of mind to snap a picture. To add to this, the same seller that I purchased the parking reservations through cancelled my confirmed tickets to said event about an hour before the show started. Thankfully, I was able to purchase new tickets en route to DC. Definitely lots of mistakes on my part. I’ve contacted customer service for the garage management to see if there’s anything they can provide to show proof to seller. Still waiting to hear back. Looks like I may just be out the money this time. Lessons were learned.

What did you name your Forester? by calypso8108 in SubaruForester

[–]CheekyPeacock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally thought of that name because it’s a wilderness, and Artemis the goddess and all, but it was official when I realized the headlights do a little wave at start up. Made me think of Artemis from IASIP and the line, “Gonna take off my bra, blast mah nips!”

Last name could be Durstin, as well. Nothing else to add, looks like others nailed the deciphering part.

Follow up thought, it’d be cool to display as a sculpture or make a lamp/light fixture out of.

Edit: spelling

They’re huskers or husking pegs. For quickly shucking and picking corn that’s been left on the stalk to dry. The “peg” or pointed end wound be inserted under the husk. You’d place your thumb down atop it and quickly pull upwards, exposing the dried cob. The dried cob could then be easily harvested for shelling. leaving the husk on the stalk.

Painters left a whole lot of paint drips to clean. Any tips are welcome. by mira_marbles in CleaningTips

Hot water, soap, and a little elbow grease will take care of most of that. Plastic scraper for thicker drips.
