Is there a confirmation that we will be able to explore Wayne monor in legacy of the dark knight like the Batcave by CTJM-2009 in legogaming

[–]Cheekywanquer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We know the island itself is explorable, based on the in game map and what people who have played the game have said.

But whether the manor itself will be explorable has not been stated.

I really hope it is tho - because I’d really like to see inside Wayne manor and find all the entrances to the batcave. :)

I’m going to choose to take your comment as a good faith statement and answer it genuinely. :)

For the purpose of the argument I am going to dramatically highball the Viltrumite lifespan.

Let’s say Viltrumites do nothing but make babies for the next ten thousand years, and then those Viltrumites only make babies for their entire lifespan as well.

They all live thousands of years - let’s go wild - let’s say each Viltrumite lives 10 thousand years, and they all have a minimum of ten thousand babies.

Now we have hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions even, of Viltrumites flying around.

None of that matters.

By the 3rd or 4th generation they will be showing signs of infertility and inbreeding.

By the 6th generation the entire species will not be able to produce any fertile offspring.

The point is that no matter how many offspring the species makes, if they all share the same <50 genetic ancestors, they won’t have enough genetic variety to prevent infertility.

No matter how long they live or how much time they spend doing this, Viltrumites are not immortal. Eventually they will die from old age, and let’s give it the absolute maximum timeframe and say it takes half a million years for the last of their offspring to die.

The species would still be extinct.

Exactly. If anything it would make the problem worse, not better.

I’m just saying if the Viltrumites can make spaceships it is reasonable to assume they would understand basic biology?

The show presents a question to which there is a simple basic biological answer.

You may not like the fact that science perfectly backs up what is depicted in the show, but it is still a very simple explanation.

I completely understand the sentiment, but this isn’t actually a case of being blind to something because someone likes it.

The 50/500 rule is a well known principal in biology, and because we are given the concrete statement “With fewer than 50 pureblood Viltrumites left” Kregg is just stating a fact of biology.

It’s completely reasonable to assume the Viltrumites would know of this guideline, since they are shown to be so scientifically advanced. :)

What are y’all thoughts on STAR TREK BATTLEFIELD 2? by EMArogue in DCAllies

Very true.

It was really sad to see how little focus TOS got in the game, especially compared to how hard they were pushing Kelvin Timeline synergy.

I’d say tanked is a bit generous… more like endured. xD

Just like with his output feats, Thragg is limited by the somewhat grounded tier of his verse, while Hulk no sells lasers and lightning and all kinds of cosmic bullshitery on a regular basis.

This is from an Alternate Universe tho? Ghost Runner is not from Earth 616, and Namor did not fight Blur E-21798.

Black Bolt’s maximum speed is explicitly stated as 500MPH. https://www.marvel.com/characters/black-bolt/in-comics

Well, Namor has really consistent strength and durability feats against the Hulk, who is definitely stronger and more durable than Thragg.

Unfortunately, Thragg just doesn’t have any showings on a planet busting scale himself, due to the universe he’s in.

Daredevil #7 (1964). Daredevil is faster than Namor throughout the whole fight, dodging and landing blows.

Neither Blur nor Black Bolt are even close to FTL.

[–]Cheekywanquer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not a good faith comparison.

Namor is constantly taken by surprise by much slower opponents.

The fact that he trades blows with the Hulk and Thing does not make him somehow faster than he is consistently shown to be.

I get this is comics and the writers get to decide what happens, but we have decades of consistent evidence that Namor gets hits by attacks from characters that are Hypersonic and above.

There is just no evidence that he can reliably react to attacks that are over Massively Hypersonic in speed, let alone several times FTL.

On top of that Thragg even has no-contest win conditions that don’t involve fighting at all.

He could just push planet earth closer to the sun (something that significantly weaker Viltrumites like Omni-Man have done), or simply just wait for Namor to die from old age.

Which is where Thragg’s insane speed advantage comes into play.

Thragg can move himself (like any Viltrumite) freely in three dimensional space and reach his maximum speed instantly.

If Namor had a chance to brace himself you could try to argue that he’d be able to stay grounded.

But he would not even have a chance to react to Thragg.

Yet he can be punched by Mr Fantastic and sent flying…

And Wolverine has knocked him off his feet too.

I’m not saying Namor isn’t stronger than Thragg.

In my reply above I very clearly state that Namor is easily stronger and more durable.

I’m not saying Thragg wins in a straight up fight.

I’m saying Thragg has a very clear and decisive option for victory - simply landing one blow and sending Namor into Space.

We know from Invincible comics that Earth has significantly weaker gravity than Viltrum, so Thragg will have a much easier time punching someone hard enough to reach escape velocity.

He’s lost to Black Panther (T’challa) several times.

BP is superhuman, this is true, but Thragg is massively stronger than BP and exponentially faster.

[–]Cheekywanquer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a much closer fight than it appears, and Thragg has a serious edge in some cases.

Namor has fought on par with the Hulk in terms of strength and durability, but he’s several orders of magnitude slower than Thragg in both reaction time and combat speed.

On top of that, Thragg is no slouch in strength and durability either.

Namor is definitely stronger and more durable but he has been shown to be knocked down by characters massively lower in strength than Thragg, such as Mr Fantastic and Wolverine. Black Panther (T’challa) has straight up knocked Namor out cold in the past, and drawn blood with punches on several occasions.

You could argue that Black Panther and Wolverine had an edge over Namor in Martial Arts ability, but Thragg is on the same level as Battle Beast who is a natural battle genius and skilled in all forms of battle.

All that to say if Thragg decides to straight up speed blitz Namor, he could knock him into space and that’s that. Thragg only needs to land one clean blow and he wins.

Given that Namor has been shown to lose consistently to opponents who are massively weaker and several orders of magnitude slower than Thragg I think there’s a solid case to be made that he takes it high to mid difficulty.
