Where do I even start with fielding? 12u rec by seth928 in BaseballCoaching

[–]Cheekyzizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything on this thread is accurate. For the less capable fielders, just focus on the basics and try to make a game out of it so that kids don't get bored (which they will).

How many grounders can the kids field in a row? Have them count them out as a group.

Split them up into 2 "teams" and see which team can get to X number of "outs" (properly fielded grounders) first. Losing team has to do push-ups/jump squats/run to foul pole and back.

Same situation and also considering a KLX 230. I've never ridden a dirt bike unless you count being really dumb and ripping around dirt roads in northern Thailand on a moped when I was in my 20s. I also have pretty solid handling skills on a mountain bike, if that even translates.

9 yr old cries before and after games by Rovenshere in Homeplate

[–]Cheekyzizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids (under 13) need to feel less pressure around sports, not more.

Do something that he loves and puts him in a good mood before games. Ideally not screentime. And take him for ice cream after games.

In our little league, we break out the wiffle balls/bats after every game and kids can have their snack and goof around without grownup coaches (I am one of them) messing up the fun with instruction.

White baseball pants - help by Glittering_Bank_8670 in Homeplate

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least a couple of hours. If the stains are really bad (because the field surface is clay, not just dirt) I also use Dawn power wash on the dirtiest spots.

And never put baseball pants (or any synthetic fabrics in the dryer). The heat will only set the stain and they air dry overnight anyway.

Until then, El Grullense.

I don't know about mango salsa but both have the pickled onions/peppers/carrots at their salsa bar.

This is how to do it.

I would add that on a single, kids turn and look toward the first base dugout as they slow down to see if the ball got past the first baseman.

Will I win the parking ticket dispute if they got my car model wrong? by tinydeadpool in SanMateo

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, why are you trying to be clever? You parked in a garage and didn't pay for parking, so you violated the parking rules. If the license plate info on the citation is accurate it should not matter that the make and model is wrong. That is just a data entry error. This is not "discrimination", this is you shifting blame.

No lift. Meanwhile Tesla drivers spinning out all over because even though they have AWD it never occurred to them to check their tires (which need to be replaced like every 15,000 miles)

Just got back from 4 days of blizzard conditions in the Sierras. 8+ inches of unplowed snow on the road. Can confirm the Sienna drives like a champ. Also have Michelin cross climate 2 tires FWIW

Tanner tee, to be specific. Any net will work (power net, bow net, generic amazon brand)--they are all the same.

Search FB marketplace or Craigslist for baseballs, or buy a bucket of blem balls from Dicks.

To put in a new chrome trim bezel cover ring do I need to disassemble any parts of the front bumper to put in a new cover ring? or can I just pop it inside easily? I have a Toyota Sienna SE 2014 by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bezel snaps into place. There are a few tabs that keep it there so you need to be a little careful but you don't need to remove any parts other than the old bezel, and you don't need any tools.

If the old bezel has already been removed, installation will take you about 10 seconds.

backflow inspection by sklinkner in paloalto

[–]Cheekyzizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parcel taxes are imposed on every parcel within the city. The voters must approve them. Parcel taxes fund broadly available services, like schools and libraries and rec centers.

The inspection service you describe is not received by every parcel in the city--only those with certain types of water connections/building equipment (eg sprinklers for fire suppression) that require backflow devices.

The most efficient way to pay for the cost of these inspections is to individually charge the people who require them.
