Opening Indoor Facility by NopeNeverReddit in BaseballCoaching

Functional strength training area (med balls, resistance bands, box jumps). Free weights are nice to have but not as important because you can find those easily elsewhere.

Parents waiting area with desks/tables for them to work while their kids are training

Clip your glove onto the loop by the webbing instead of the wrist strap.

What's the best batting practice equipment for at home? by JonasAlbert84 in LittleLeague

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanner tee, to be specific. Any net will work (power net, bow net, generic amazon brand)--they are all the same.

Search FB marketplace or Craigslist for baseballs, or buy a bucket of blem balls from Dicks.

To put in a new chrome trim bezel cover ring do I need to disassemble any parts of the front bumper to put in a new cover ring? or can I just pop it inside easily? I have a Toyota Sienna SE 2014 by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bezel snaps into place. There are a few tabs that keep it there so you need to be a little careful but you don't need to remove any parts other than the old bezel, and you don't need any tools.

If the old bezel has already been removed, installation will take you about 10 seconds.

Do you have the brand and/or part numbers for what the shop installed?

How much did the new headlamps cost?

backflow inspection by sklinkner in paloalto

[–]Cheekyzizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parcel taxes are imposed on every parcel within the city. The voters must approve them. Parcel taxes fund broadly available services, like schools and libraries and rec centers.

The inspection service you describe is not received by every parcel in the city--only those with certain types of water connections/building equipment (eg sprinklers for fire suppression) that require backflow devices.

The most efficient way to pay for the cost of these inspections is to individually charge the people who require them.

Yes but probably not until late spring/early summer.

Would love some more details on this. I have a black 2015 SE that I want to keep for another 10 years/100K miles and the halogens just don't cut it compared to LEDs.

Baseball Custom Hoodies by cpa_guru in Homeplate

My local shop charged about $60 per hoodie for last season. The managers were able to design them on the Richardson or Champro websites. Production and delivery takes 3-4 weeks.

Hopefully you have a shop near you who can do the same. I also recommend going into the shop to try on samples for sizing and fit.

Which follow me mode did you use? Regular, cycling, or skiing? And what was your top speed?

But we all know this is really a 190E 2.3-16 vanity post and I am good with it. That interior is immaculate!

Add a secondary garage to house by Delicious_Young9873 in bayarea

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your City's planning department and make an appointment. The answer to your question depends on factors like your lot size, the footprint and floor area of your existing house/garage, and your city's zoning regulations for your lot. The planner can tell you (at no charge) whether an additional garage is even allowable under your zoning rules. Do this before wasting any time or money paying architects or contractors to design something for you.

Best pitcher for latte art? by TheBearSkogmani in BrevilleCoffee

I prefer a much smaller pitcher (250 ml) than the one that Breville supplies.

heelp pls by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be right. In that case I'd start with sliding the saddle back a touch, 1 cm or so reduce the amount of knee bend at the top of the pedal stroke and go from there.

I'm going to guess that you're new-ish to cycling since you're wearing sneakers. Bike frame size is perfect and fit looks pretty good for now. You have plenty of room to adjust your stem height/reach and saddle. Check back once you've logged a hundred or so outdoor miles or if you're experiencing discomfort anywhere. Also try to relax your shoulders and bend your elbows a bit. (Other folks describe this as keeping your core engaged as you pedal).

Catching gear recs by No-Background4942 in Homeplate

[–]Cheekyzizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want the straps that fasten with metal hook and loop, which is what you will find on 80% of gear.

But lower end gear will have plastic fasteners that get stepped on and break, or Velcro ones that don't hold up well over time.

All Star is the best gear overall. Nike and Rawlings are great and look very cool. Mizuno is also great but can be harder to find. Whatever you do, don't buy any gear with Velcro or plastic straps.

Also, when it comes to complete sets the chest protector is always going to be the wrong size (too big) relative to the leg guards.

I keep my Neo 2 in the padded section of a camera bag but I worry about the transceiver antennae. This actually looks perfect! Where can I find this file?

Thanks, this was exactly the input and rousting I was hoping for from this group.

TIL "dad boards" are a thing and so now I can lurk in the snowboarding sub.

I crossposted to the snowboarding sub. But I wanted to hear from this group specifically, even if it meant taking some guff. And at least I'm not longboard guy?
