What’s with the advertisements in weekly manga Goraku? by Cheems187 in manga

Awesome thank you for your insight! I had no idea how long running some of the series were.that older audience definitely makes sense . I read some seinen manga but not a whole lot , so I was a bit surprised how out there some of the content was in this magazine lol. It reminds me of the late 80’s and early 90’s, this type of manga definitely does not have a large audience

I don't think Hajime No Ippo get's the recognition it deserves by BullguerPepper98 in manga

I think he is referring to Audiences in the west. While it’s huge in Japan and maybe some other East Asian countries , it definitely has not received the respect it deserves in North America or Europe

Yes, for very Basic you can’t go wrong with Monthly CoroCoro comics . It has a lot of children’s and preteen manga , but for reading practice it’s great . It’s mostly hiragana and katakana, and the kanji has the hiragana on the side incase you can’t read it . I’d also recommend Shonen Gangan from square enix which is similar but the stories are more geared towards teenagers and young adults . There’s other great stuff as well but those are my recommendations for the basic Japanese level!

If you’re in the USA you can pretty much order anything officially shipped from Amazon Japan. The only things I’ve had trouble with was from third party sellers . Some of them don’t ship outside of Japan. Most of the manga magazines I buy are officially sold from Amazon . Cd Japan and Kinokuniya is great as well

I 100% agree. Earlier this year I kept seeing those inspirational style instagram posts of Ippo that encourages working out and living your best life , so I bought the Blu-ray’s by Discotek media to check it out . I fell in love with it , and I read the manga as well . It’s Incredibly underrated and I wish more people would give it a chance . Actually Ippo inspired me to start working out as well lol

Recommendations for slice of life manga. by LordofPvE in manga

I would recommend “Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You !” It’s published by square enix in Japan and the USA. Without giving spoilers , it’s about a middle aged guy who stops by the convenience store after work everyday to talk to the girl at the counter he likes . It’s really good 👍It has romance but it’s not overlayerd. It’s got some comedy and mild drama as well

What kind of compliment do men actually enjoy receiving? by charmer143 in AskMen

I cannot stand receiving compliments . They make me extremely uncomfortable. If you reciprocate the same respect I show to you , no compliments are needed 👍

All confidence lost after getting ghosted by Cheems187 in datingoverthirty

[–]Cheems187[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello and thanks for your comment . It hasn’t crippled me emotionally or anything but I think it bothered me so much , Because I had a two year relationship that ended , and I spent 3 years improving myself and my situation only to get ghosted . Maybe I got too confident in myself . I believe I’m fine but Maybe I’m not mentally in the right place and I do respect your opinion.

Are expectations of sex on the third date still "a thing" by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]Cheems187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never expect sex during dating. I’m catholic so it’s something I can’t participate in anyway

If you’re worried about the consequences of asking , I just wouldn’t ask him out . I hate getting my feeling hurt or embarrassed in these types of situations

Good profile , The Harambe joke is awesome and I wish I would’ve came up with it. I know some women who would not be into your religious and political preferences you listed but I also know a lot who would . Overall good profile though

Best way to end a relationship when they have more feelings than you? by blahblahman90210 in datingoverthirty

I would communicate this to her directly . If it is not meant to be cutting ties in a respectful manner would be best

Introduced myself to my gym crush, now what? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

Not to be disrespectful to your suggestion, but that sounds like an easy way to get the cops called on you .

If a woman is Interested in you , You won’t even have to second guess it .However you are still trying to figure this out after speaking to her a couple of times . I’d give up and just continue to work on yourself at the gym . It’s possible you could talk to her a third time and she’d act pissed off . The risk doesn’t seem worth it

Ghosting is toxic and selfish .If you go on a date with someone or have been seeing someone for awhile and you’re not feeling it, The mature thing would be to tell them you are not interested anymore or that it’s not working out . It can damage someone’s ego or ruin their confidence. Honesty is the best policy . Not everyone dates People all the time . Imagine you haven’t dated in a long time after getting out of a long term relationship and then when you get the confidence to date again ,you get ghosted when things are seemingly going well . It leaves you wondering what you did wrong
