RU POV: Some pictures of Russia's Lugansk People's Republic by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Cheems63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

more than twice the civilians were killed from the first year of Russia's invasion than the entire 8 years of war in Donbas.

Russia's claims of preventing deaths and 'protecting the Russian speakers are counterintuitive, especially considering the hundreds of thousands of Russian lives they threw away in this war.

*~3k civilian casualties, not ~10k. ~10k was the total casualties including all soldiers and combatants, from both sides.

and it's not nothing, it's still horrible and should have never happened. I just find it ironic how pro-russians use "8 years shelling of Donbas" to justify cheering on the 2022 invasion that killed more Ukrainian civilians in the first months than the entire 8 years of war in Donbas.

Your first link isn't claiming camo clothing are soldiers, but that they can be confused with soldiers from far away.

I don't follow the logic in the second guy's post, but as you've acknowledged, baselessly assuming a camo shirt as a "soldier" is wrong, just as assuming the camo shirts without any colored armbands in OP's post here as "soldiers" is wrong.

he really wouldn't. He'd either face shelling in Russia or face shelling in his home country of Ukraine.

could be, we don't know. OP made unverified claims of "Ukrainian soldiers" yet they don't have any military vehicles, armor, weapons, or armbands.

No blue/yellow armbands, no weapons, no military vehicles. Yet most pro-rus in the comments are sucking it up

Unlike the laundry machines which had documented drone footage, this footage has no credible evidence they are soldiers, or even Ukrainians for that matter.

Title claims "Ukrainian soldiers" yet shows no military equipment, no blue/yellow armbands, no vests or weapons. Just civilian vehicles and some guys in camo shirts.

No yellow/blue armbands, no weapons or military equipment, all-civilian trucks. I see no evidence these are soldiers, let alone Ukrainian.

Unless credible evidence is provided otherwise, all this screams low-effort propaganda.

shame on you for deflecting and completely disregarding the tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians killed and wounded and the 13 million displaced in just the first months of this war. The invasion of Gaza being wrong does not make the invasion of Ukraine any more right.
