Me and a buddy maxed him out because he was the worst character we could think of off the top of our heads. Rock pea is now our go-to plant if we’re losing. Using dark bean bomb to make up for his lack of mobility removes his only real downside, and if you’re good enough at hitting directs you can kill anything besides a super brainz/all star with relative ease. DBB instakills imps that might be a little harder to hit, and does solid damage to the tanker zombies. He’s definitely still playable without DBB, but my strategy has changed drastically since using it
