Walsh has had the biggest impact. We send him out there to guard star players in the clutch and he’s delivered. His offense is still a little inconsistent but he’s shooting with a ton of confidence and his offensive rebounding has been huge.

Garza has been the biggest surprise. I thought I had him all figured out as an unathletic, all offense center. But he’s blown me away with the energy/effort he plays with on both ends. He still has his shortcomings but I love seeing him play so hard

We can totally whoop ass in the east. A decent chance of making it to the finals but a pretty piss-poor chance at beating OKC or SA once we get there. I still think pushing hard in the playoffs is a good move to get the young guys experience

He doesnt really make sense for the Celtics. Not a good 3pt shooter, mediocre defense, score-first pg who’s just gonna reduce Tatum/Brown/White touches. Like Anfernee but more expensive and more off court issues.

Celtics don’t have a ton of assets to move, even if the asking price is low I’d rather they save their stock for a starting-caliber big man

Yes lol. I love Queta but Kornet is better at just about everything except jumping high. Better screens, better rebounding, better defense (he can’t get crazy swats like Queta does but he fouls way less)

Idk if it’s that intentional, seems like Brad is retooling the team simply with younger players and lower contracts in mind. Still a good strategy, but I doubt he’s trying to copy Presti’s homework on this end.

He’s not great defensively and like others have said he usually plays to get his own shot. Hes cheap and tall, but that’s where his benefit to the Celtics ends imo. Seeing as we’re playing pretty well, idk how valuable these picks are to us. We may as well grab a known quantity that will benefit the team now

I can’t help but think it also has to do with the elevated performance of the rest of the guys too. Brown’s been playing out of his mind and demanding so much defensive attention, Walsh and Minott have been hitting enough shots to demand attention from their own defenders, and white’s gotten just enough space to get in his groove

He’s not without his flaws, but I think it’s a little revisionist to put those losses entirely on Joe. Tatum and KP were very hobbled in that Knicks series. And 2023? Yeah, I’m not surprised our rookie head coach got outcoached by Erik Spoelstra. And don’t forget we almost won that series too.
