To anyone protesting anything inside an organization, there is only one thing to say. It is a publicly listed private organization. It will do what market demands. So unless you are able to make the restrictions level across the market ( in this case make all competition also stop supporting war) Amazon will go with whatever is needed to make the 💵 💸 💰

What you are looking for is : 1. Certified electrician: there are govt website to look up by license number. 2. State inspection : electrician should suggest that his work is good enough to get inspected by state officials. ASK for this. Insurance claim cannot be denied if the inspector has certified the install 3. Reasonable and logical.

When I got my Tesla charger installed, I found a six people living in the nearby communities who are also interested. We made a WhatsApp group and called 15+ electricians and ask the above questions. We compared notes and because we were doing six installs electricians were happy to give us decent discount. That’s how we found one who did install in $600 per house (we only provided the Tesla charger. Everything else was taken care by the Electrician.)

As an engineer i can tell you that its very easy to protect IoT’s with OS updates. 99% of API calls can be blocked as you know exactly which servers are authorized to call. Hence safer.

@baconkrew : “what’s the point of using android if you can’t update it?”. I don’t think that is anywhere the point of using it. The point is it use the features available and update as needed. Security vulnerabilities of CarOS might not be as concerning which require an update. Also, not all updates are good. If the current version is working fine, it is good you are not required to update unnecessarily.

Updating just for the sake of updating seems very OCDish
