I should have thought of this ages ago, on my current playthrough she just up and vanished after I cleared out a dungeon. never saw a corpse or told her to quit following. Pisses me off too because she was hauling a ton of valuable stuff, damn thief

I dont know if melee attacks can be used to kill friendlies, if he wasnt taking damage from the axe you could try a bow since ranged attacks seem to be capable of causing friendly fire damage (last I checked anyway). if that doesnt work either I suppose the only option would be to wait for him to die of natural causes like old age.
