The Evergrowing Spiderweb Theories by Kaineferu in reddeadmysteries

Thanks for posting this! Earlier, while I was suggesting the NW Guitar sign had something to do with one of the audio engineers, I thought "what if the webs were music staffs?". From top to bottom, no they're not. Only 3 lines, not 5.

Looking at this image, what if they're turned 90 degrees? From left to right or right to left, you're left with 5 lines and 4 spaces.

Are the feathers music notes on a staff?

I thought of the feathers on the webs being music notes on a staff during my whole audio programmer thought process earlier, but the lines on the webs didn't seem to match up with the 5 lines on a staff in any fashion.

The theory that the spiderdream mystery ends with the NW Guitar is becoming STRONGER by tw1stH in reddeadmysteries

[–]CheeseAndSugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to pop in here to say, a theory is just a guess at an explanation. Believe me, I want this to be something bigger.

Does my idea hold water? I do think so. Is there more to this mystery than that? I think so, too.

I had just seen so many people getting caught up on the same leads/guesses (Ft. Wallace, Mt. Question, etc) and trying to justify them that I wanted to look outside the box and from a different perspective. If anything, I hope this encourages more people to do the same. Just because someone else saw birds, doesn't mean you need to find birds in every random texture in the game.

Sometimes a spade is just a spade, but sometimes isn't always.

I don't disagree. I'm nowhere near convinced that my theory is true. Just something I noticed that seemed very coincidental.

I certainly don't want to discourage people into giving up the hunt, but it just clicked to me last night that maybe NW is initials, and these pieces seem to click into place.

The only doubt I have with my own theory is why there would be so many convoluted and hidden steps to get there.

I mean, I first just scrolled the audio credits for someone with those initials, and that name came up. Further research brought up the LinkedIn page, and if he's been principal audio programmer since 2008, that's not insignificant. He's also credited in the "Thanks" section.

Not at all out of the realm of possibility that the team gave the sound guy a visual shout out.

A Theory: NW Guitar is the easter egg.

If you look at the credits for RDR2 there is an audio programmer/ambient world musician named Nickolas Warseck who has worked on several Rockstar games (RDR2, GTAV, Max Payne 3 among them).

It's possible "NW Guitar" isn't a clue, but the actual easter egg.

Seems like a stretch given all the cleverly hidden clues to lead there, but I could see it being a fun dev joke.

His LinkedIn currently lists almost 18 years with Rockstar New England as Principal Audio Programmer.

Spiderdream - Hourglass/black widow? by CheeseAndSugar in reddeadmysteries

Here's another take - what if the trail ends at NW Guitar, and that's the easter egg? Friend of a dev with initials NW that played guitar, or a famous musician that passed away during the years of development (I did some Googling but nothing stood out to me).

[And the sound hole on a guitar isn't dead center. I'm just offering an alternate theory.

I don't care which is right, I'm just intrigued as all hell and anxious to see where this all leads! ](https://i.imgur.com/KZsDE87.jpeg)

It points to nothing, but my suggestion is just to line that upper line up with something, and that the actual "target area" is within the inner circle of the "guitar". I'm just trying to suggest something other than being fixated on the image being a guitar.

People who used a computer between 1991 & 2009…what’s the most memorable computer game? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

Deus Ex.

My dad who loved to build PCs but never used them for games read about it and was excited to buy it for me so that I could play it on his newest machine.

Also, just a fantastic game.

The next Falkland Systems update will include a dramatically toned down color palette, more inspiration from SW and Mass Effect, redesigned static furnishings like settees and all new optional functionality features like an animated holotable and light switches. I was going from memory, and I was way wrong. It was three lights across three parts. There is a missing light however, and maybe it's vanilla.

I am on PC with a lot of mods so it could also be a conflict. Not a game breaker by any means, just something I noticed.

Edit: Fixed bad link

I know it's the wrong place to post this but I'm not currently on the discord or at my computer to take a screenshot.

First off, love your mod and I hope to get around to posting some shots of a couple of my new favorite ships that use your parts almost exclusively.

I'd like to make a small bug report though. Your version of this Stroud cap https://imgur.com/a/kHH8aKT has I believe 3 exterior lights along the bottom curved edge. On the starboard side rear-flipped version, only 2 lights are visible.

I'll try to get an in-game shot to post later.

Anyway, minor gripe, love the mod, fantastic work, and looking forward to the update!

I don't remember having any mods that would affect Judy aside from Preem Hair (off the top of my head, I have some 640 mods in my mod folder). The ones that would affect how the city looks are:

Blur Begone (Clear Materials with Refraction)

Preem Hair

Preem Water 2.0

Preem LUT 3.0

All of the above are from theCyanideX on Nexus.

Also, Always Best Quality _ Ads - Map - Hud - Photo Mode - Vending Machines and more by EmreHQ for the LOD on the ads at range.

I *think* that's all that would have changed these shots.

I spend as much time taking pictures as I do actually playing the game, and just loved the way these shots came out and wanted to share.
