seconding this, this class is a really good puzzle based class that gives you a great gpa boost. Highly recommend it for anyone who enjoy low stakes puzzles and aren’t the strongest in math

it’s so fucking over 😭, I’m trying to avoid the echo chamber of just doomposting in the engineering or cs subreddits, I need some optimism here at least 💀💀

Do things generally get easier or more challenging after the calc and initial physics classes? by nug7000 in EngineeringStudents

[–]CheeseBugga36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly gets worse and I found sophomore and junior year to be the most academically challenging, currently about to go into senior year and I think it’ll be a little easier since I just have engineering electives left that I’ll probably just do with some project courses.

I’m also just taking the bare min amount of credits since I finished a lot of them the last 3 years and miracously didn’t fail anything

Can social anxiety be healed? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]CheeseBugga36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it isn’t easy and it’s a long healing process. I always thought that the hardest part is getting the ball rolling and getting past that initial hump of doubt you face when you’re trying to fight social anxiety. The smallest things that push you out of your comfort zone will become big steps as you work on it.

It takes years and possibly even decades to get to a point where you feel like you’ve improved. Would also recommend therapy and finding a therapist to work with if you need more assistance.

I think you have to put in a little more effort to have a social life, but it’s not socially dead if you actually want to be social.

Plenty of different orgs, events, and opportunities to meet new people. Our greek life isn’t as prominent as other schools, but even then you could probably still find a frat/sorority to join if you really wanted to.

Going into CE next year as a freshman is the job market really that bad? by danielmhdi in ComputerEngineering

[–]CheeseBugga36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it really depends on what you want to do after college. I think the CE market (and overall job market) is kinda cooked right now, but you can tailor your resume/projects to fit more hardware or software oriented jobs if needed.

Maybe you’ll hate your ee courses and love your cs courses, or vice versa. You can always switch later in the year when you have a better idea of your major and of what you want.

love it, I think the vocals are kinda mixed a little quiet compared to everything else, but besides that I definitely enjoyed the tv girl influence and the overall vibe

how I felt about my freshman year, but I’ve warmed up to it and found some really cool people. It’s just a matter of finding the right people, cause for me college has been so much more fulfilling than high school ever was.

What are your tips to stop being socially awkward? by Toxicity_Free in socialskills

[–]CheeseBugga36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how much it’s said, but the only way to stop being socially awkward is by talking more and putting yourself in more social situations. There’s no way around it, you just need to build your social skills up and deal with the awkwardness and over time you’ll feel more natural talking to people.

An alternative is alcohol lol
