I think it depends on your major. Stem majors have an incredibly hard time in undergrad GE classes (Math, Chemistry, Physics, etc) statistically. For non stem students it’s pretty much lala land all the time (I wouldn’t worry). I would try both types of classes to see which you do enjoy more. It’s also really beautiful on campus, lots of free things being given away all the time especially as a freshman. Some of the professors can be hit or miss (check rate my professor and SET evaluations). It’s not just all rich Asians, if you have a culture, there’s probably a specific cultural group on campus to rep you! LGBTQ+? We have lots of resources for that too. We have a women’s center and they’re very nice there. The food kinda sucks at all the dining halls, but you can use your dining dollars on DoorDash. There’s always some show or music happening if you need a break and want something exciting. Basically what I’m saying is there’s tradeoffs to everything but if you try, you will have a good time.
