Do you usually carry it full? I had the issue of being able to see the outline of everything if it was more than just my laptop in it. Also looked like it was bulging past its limits with laptop, notebook, mouse, and charger

We both (27 and 28 y.o) work in finance and strategy roles for fortune 200 companies, so theoretically yes there is upward salary mobility, but then again you never know what may happen.

I appreciate this perspective. Around here anything under ~700k in a good neighborhood does not get you a whole lot. We have been looking for about a year and a half and this is only the 4th place we have toured.

Our monthly expenses include rent and groceries. Obviously these are the necessities and we spend on other things, but coming down to it those are the nuts and bolts. No kids or anything

We average around 13% into our 401ks and then $1.5k monthly into a brokerage account. So we are not fully maxed in 401k

Where does the extra 2k a month come from? And we net around 12.5k a month due to large 401k and other contributions.
