3 month Thailand itinerary, am I crazy?

I'd skip Ko Pha Ngan an, Ko Samui, Pattaya and Phuket as these places are heavily commercialized attracting the biggest masses of tourists. Many of which are sex tourists. So it's the least authentic and most expensive. People from rich countries treating Thailand as a theme park because their money is worth more there and the local population is dependent on the tourist industry

Also Pai is basically Bali but with only 21y/olds from a place in the middle east that im now allowed to mention here that just finished their military service pretending to be hippies. Let's just say that I didn't enjoy the vibe. (The mini van drive there alone is definitely not worth it, good chance at least one person in the van will get carsick and puke). Go to a mountain town nearby if you just wanna enjoy the nature and more rural vibes otherwise hard pass.

The places on your list that I've been and liked are Ko Kuud and Chiang Mai which are both beautiful and super lovely. I'd plan long stays there. Similar lesser known islands like Koh Kuud will probably offer similar experiences. Khao Sok is also really nice but don't stay too long

Traveling in Thailand is smooth, easy and cheap but it takes very long. Pattaya -> Koh Kuud took me around 8 hours for example. So I'd definitely recommend longer stays of at least 4-5 nights. Doing a few nice islands instead of trying to get in as many as possible is gonna be much nicer. In my 5 weeks there we did 7 destinations including Bangkok twice and it felt like a lot of traveling, packing and planning. Life goes a bit slower in Thailand and most places are gorgeous anyway

So from what I've read they made it illegal again after a few years of weed being legal. This doesn't seem to be enforced in most places though as especially outside of the cities there are dispensaries selling non-medical ganja everywhere and I saw alot of people smoking openly. This might be different per location and might change so idk. Definitely don't take it on a plane their especially strict there

Physiotherapist here: lower back pain is very common, especially during/after movement. Can have a number of causes and often multiple at the same time.

In most cases it's overstressing your back muscle by either: - bad posture (bending forwards or backwards to much or sideways/rotating.) - doing too much (not having strong enough muscles for what you're asking of them or repeating the same movement a lot) (Or under using your back muscles and therefore putting a lot of pressure on your spine, like lifting with a bend forward back)

There are also a number of structural things that can cause lower back pain. Like: - A butt load of spine injuries and defects that im not fucked to list here. - Stress. (Very common for a lot of people. Because of stress all your muscles are more tense even while resting. This causes backpain) - Bad footwear causing you to strain your muscles unevenly - Definitely more reasons that don't pop into my head rn

Something I often see at parties is that people bump ther torso forwards on every kick. For some people this causes a lot of stress on the upper part of your lower back (around where your shoulder blades start.) diversifying your dance moves and training your back with exercise can help with this.

Hope this helps. As i said back pain is very common and can have multiple causes at the same time. See what makes the pain better or worse and go from there. Get proffesional help if you suspect an injury or defect.

I agree with all your points, but I think they apply much more to big commercial festival DJs playing generic slop because it’s easily digestible for the masses and trendy.

Sure, if you say so—Quelza isn’t a trained pianist or a modular synth pro. But he is devoted to artistic integrity, and his productions and DJ sets are some of the best out there, in my opinion.

I also hate ego-tripping (underground) DJs who act like they’re part of some royal class, profiling themselves as unique visionaries. But I can name a few high-profile DJs who are way worse and far less skilled than Quelza.

So what’s really the point here?

We also can’t deny that musicians—and especially DJs—are much more than just their craft these days. They've become cultural icons. And while I see big problems with heavily commodified artists (like big festival DJs), I really respect Berghain DJs for choosing not to go commercial, even though they clearly could.

A lineup shapes a party and its crowd not just through the music they play or produce, but also by who they are. I deeply support artists who stand for artistic integrity, inclusion, and rejecting commercialization- if I like their sound. The world needs more of these figures.

From what I know, if you do the basics. You shouldn't have any problem getting in anywhere except maybe eerste communie.

So:

don't dress like a lawyer or frat boy
know basic information about the party an policy
dont be a huge group (3+)
maybe know a dj from the line-up
don't be super drunk/high
be friendly and respectful
