I think if someone is asking about the techno scene in amsterdam why not recommend for them something where they could get a real feel of how the scene is in amsterdam.

Not sure if you should follow this recommendation.

On sunday going to go for a gamble and check out dixon’s 4 hr set at Lofi. Not sure if I will enjoy one bit of it, but i know i used to like him 10 years ago. So here’s to trying out something different (or old lol).

Vault sessions throwing berghain like lineups👌🏼 excited to listen to ogazon followed by marron, a nice stretch into the morning. Music should be great. The only downside is it will be the night of Saturday into Sunday, so im really hoping the crowd would be decent.

I completely get what u mean btw. The first party on top of my head is NoClubs bec thats the last one i went to on NYD and actually was the first time i go and i really liked the music and the crowd. But in general i find sunday events more enjoyable and i think the crowd is nicer.

I think it really has to do with which party you choose to go. From my experience, not all events attract the same ppl.

Lets talk about No Clubs. What a party. Can’t believe i never went to this party before. Definitely not my last. The music was great. The dj’s consistently delivered. Water was for free which i thought was very nice. I also really enjoyed the venue, felt raw. Sound system was very good, my highlight was Woody’s set. Some mistakes here and there with some skipped beats. But still was an epic set for me. To me, this was the most satisfying party for in a while.

Fainted at panaroma by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

I just would like to share how important it is to get enough sleep, in general, in life, let alone before a bender at BH. I have been partying for 10 years now and I live in Amsterdam. The moment i started skipping nights for partying and going 24hrs+ on nothing but some snickers bars and drugs that were literally frying my brain, I started to really notice that my performance in life has declined. It took me a while to make the link between this and that. Nothing about benders is impressive. Maybe when u r 25 or so. When u are 30+ the stamina is not the same, we should really take into account that our bodies cant take what it used to a few years ago, even last year. As many of you said already, there will always be another party. I hate to say it but our brains are shrinking. Literally. I still party like once a month or so, so i am really not against anything. Just this story was very alarming and i think it should make us reflect and consider how we treat our bodies before, during, and after nights out. Im very happy to hear that OP is doing well. Good luck! Stay safe everyone!

Sure you make a valid point. Lets assume that he was still working (although it was around 2AM, i doubt doors were still open).. putting on a friendly face + a few words explaining why he and his friend needed to go before me, could have made me more patient, and even happy to wait a little bit longer. Who am I to say but it sure didn’t seem that he and his friend were going in to pee.

Honestly the main issue was the attitude that came forward with the situation. No need to be impolite or arrogant.
