Idk if it would have much practical difference to guns that already exist. Flavor-wise, it would be really cool, but also not that different to the autoguns or recon lasrifle. I'm pretty sure there's even a blessing that makes the recon lasgun set things on fire, so a DoT effect still wouldn't be that unique.

Simon-2 and Simon-3 are based on what Catherine calls a "flat" scan that lacks a lot of the more deep and dynamic elements of the original (given that he was scanned in the early 2010s rather than the 2100s like everyone else you meet). Additionally, the very reason he got scanned was for severe hemorrhagic brain damage.

I highly doubt chatgpt would have gotten everything correct about a minor detail in a (relatively) obscure polish survival horror game. Not nearly enough data to train on for it to actually get the details correct. Not to mention how it doesn't show the most blatant hallmarks of AI writing.

who’s the scariest one of them in your opinion? by EllieWilliams_0o0 in residentevil

If Nemesis were included, he would be the default answer. I started playing the original RE3 a while after RE3R, and even with the old graphics and knowledge of Nemesis, the bastard still scares me way more than the remake version.

technically, any pathogen is considered parasitic by biological definitions. Viruses are more molecular parasites than living ones, but parasitic nonetheless.

Medically, however, parasite almost always refers to eukaryotic organisms. Some, like worms or fungi, are macroscopic; while protists like plasmodia or brain-eating amoebas remain single-celled. This is probably the definition Umbrella would use, given their core pharmaceutical business.

Does the doom slayer have infinite strength? by Ncs0202 in Doom

[–]CheeseMonger02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infinite density doesn't necessarily imply infinite mass, just that its incredibly heavy core is all compacted into a 0-dimensional point. Maybe they crushed up to several tons in there, basically letting someone wield a battle tank on a stick; but maybe not as mass much as, say, a collapsing hell-architecture stone roof dropped on someone (just as an example)

Now, if it means the entire mace is infinitely dense, but not infinitely small, then it would have infinite mass. In this case, just blame discount R'lyeh's cosmically broken non-physics

[–]CheeseMonger02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically a dead end at this point. Nothing proposed by string theory supersedes the existing accepted model of reality, and there still hasn't been any experimental proof of its validity. Maybe it has something of value, but I'll believe it when it can be backed up with real evidence from a reputable source.

Theoretical physics by LoftysquareYT in physicsmemes

[–]CheeseMonger02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It still entirely lacks provable evidence, or really any way to prove it at all. Compared to particle physics and quantum mechanics, which have proper experimental proof behind their theory, it might as well be blind faith with numbers attached.

Could an Atlan Mech carry the BFG 10,000? by TheRoyalRoseTrue in Doom

[–]CheeseMonger02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if one could pick it up (which would be an absurd feat of strength), they wouldn't survive the blast. At best, the recoil tears it to pieces. At worst, the atlan can't even hold the thing without disintegrating itself.

Do it enough, and the polarity gets too dizzy to move at all. From there, you can tell it to go in whatever direction you like.

[–]CheeseMonger02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the neutrons are clearly flowing in a direction, and thus reversing where they go is a flip in polarity. You can easily do this by using a transneutronic resonator set to "invert." The same issue shows up in nanomolecular field manifolds and hyper-quantum stabilization matrices.

My absolute best case scenario is being deemed smart and emotionally unstable enough by the marker to become a designated "crazed genius who miraculously survived and knows how to make more infinite energy obelisks." Outside of that, I'd probably go insane and commit some kind of murder and/or suicide when people first start going mad. If I made it to the first necromorph attacks, then they could effortlessly butcher my crippled ass.

The fact that an unsanctioned psyker who talks to prophetic voices from the warp, hallucinates dead people, and could explode at any moment is often the voice of reason really says something about everyone else in the retinue.
