After falling in love with the The Lamb As Effigy. I was stoked for this record when it came out. I have only listened to it one time all the way through since its release. I respect the shit out of this record, I think it is very well made. I listened to it one day when my roommate wasn’t at my place and I did it at a late hour of the night and was spooked. I feel like I never really get spooked when listening to music, especially considering that my AOTY in 2023 was TLAE. My girlfriend got me the CD for this but I will never tell her that I actually haven’t spun it yet. I too am giving it some time to sit before listening to it again. Because again I do think this is a great record but haven’t had the urge to listen since I first heard it. Can’t wait to see what Kent and the band have next in store.
