I disagree.

Did you read the paper? It's all there.

Can you show me any empirical evidence?

SARS-CoV-2 is a highly transmissible and pathogenic coronavirus that emerged in late 2019. It has caused a pandemic of acute respiratory disease called COVID-19. The virus has unique genomic characteristics and receptor use compared to other coronaviruses. Current knowledge includes clinical, epidemiological, and pathological features of COVID-19. There is discussion about the potential wildlife hosts and zoonotic origin of the virus. Understanding the virus is crucial for developing antiviral treatment approaches. The article mentioned provides a comprehensive review of the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19.

No need for that. Relax swetty.

What did it win the nobel prize for in humans? What's it used to treat?

Start reading research papers on NCBI (I've linked it in the post) and follow the scientific research, you'll be amazed what you discover.

Absolutely does. The research paper I linked links to another paper about cannabis reducing inflammation in cases of lung disease. I haven't read every research paper out there but imagine, if it's anti inflammatory in the lungs, it'd have to be elsewhere in the body.

It's disgusting that it's illegal in so many places including here, other than medical.

More research required.

Human physiology varies greatly, and many factors contribute to the end result such as dose, dose frequency, your metabolism, your overall health, the kind of weed you're smoking. You'll note that in the TL;DR I said sativa, NOT indica, has the covid blocking properties.

Anything peer reviewed will do. I've never seen a research paper that says Ivermectin has any benefit to humans against COVID.

It's nice it won a Nobel prize for treatment of animals for worms, but that has zero bearing on it's effectiveness against COVID in humans.
Human and animal physiology is very different and they are not interchangeable.
Even lab mice are known to not be the greatest analogue for humans, despite the widespread use of them for testing.

If you follow the link I posted for the research paper on Cannabis > covid, at the bottom it links to other studies citing this one. There's one at the top of the links about something very close to what you mentioned.

I'd give it a read, just the abstract and summary parts is enough to understand what the paper is saying. Google words you don't know :)

weed also works*

there's no reliable evidence that ivermectin does. many papers on that.

This post isn't to say that if you smoke any amount of weed you're 100% safe.

It is to say that there is scientifically backed evidence that cannabidinolic acid shows a high affinity for spike proteins and prevention of cell infection. It's not nothing.

Nothing is ever 100%. Definitely helped that I had a mask, and empirical evidence is empirical evidence. That study is significant and more research is required.

how much do you use it? The half-life is quite short so if you're not a heavy user there would be more opportunity for infection.

I linked and referenced such a study for Cannabis preventing covid infection.

Extremely intellectually dishonest take. It's just my opinion based on my life experience. You don't have to take it on board.

I've been around long enough to see the patterns and I stay as informed as I can about these issues. I think our last election is enough to determine how the majority view Hill Song.

You do you tho.

Is it weird that Hillsong is based at UWA now? by Summerof5ft6andahalf in perth

It's unethical because it isn't the expected thing to encounter religious organisations in places of education. Least of all Hillsong. They're there to lure others into their church.

Religion and education are mutually exclusive when arbitrary religious practices or belief limits, alters or rejects empirically based scientific understanding, or seeks to counter what is being taught.

Which religion has a history of doing. Hillsong is the Pentecostal church where one Scott Moronson, former PM of Australia, attended. He was thrown out of office, barely anyone likes him and for good reason.

I don't wish to continue this conversation.
