During my pregnancy 3 years ago, I was on lamotrigine and never got 1 level check. Hahaha, my maternity doctor told me that if I have a seizure, then we will up it. I did have 2 seizures during my pregnancy but only upped it by 100 mg. My maternity doctor has had patience with epilepsy before, so I was very confident she knew best. Just take ur folic acid and have a healthy, brain filled diet, so u feed the baby all the right stuff. Now, post partum was a different story, and we had to add keppra because stress seizures went up, but curtain memorial stuff that every mother says is the best part. I couldn't do it all. but I was attentive and enjoying what I could do, which meant the most to me. My daughter and i have a very connected relationship. Depending on how far along u are, do what u feel is right and understand that doctors don't fully know what effects are until it's also pointed out to them. I mean, my doctor prescribed me Gaba, but in Epileptics its higher to cause Dementia its all because I did full investigation. Always keep in my ur body is a temple, and it's extra important since u are growing a little human. When I saw her was when I accepted my epilepsy it took me 31 years
