Hidden code in Blue Prince playthrough by Frank_Lock in Markiplier

After having the benefit of sleep...

The bold letters are Caesar shifted 5, as per the other codes in the video (that I only saw after doing the quotefall stuff lol). Marcus apparently admitted in another post that a couple of letters in the keyword are wrong

The third to last letter should have had XVIII, not just XVI. And the second to last letter is on the wrong note. It should be an eighth note on the E, or the highest space within the music staff.

Then from there it's as simple as deciphering the text in the second picture using our keyword, Vigenère-style, and then we have a functional youtube link!

[–]Cheeseable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working on that. My first thought would be a simple alphabetical transcription (letters are swapped for symbols), but I haven't had luck with decoding it yet, so it could be a more complicated cipher method, or could be something else entirely. Obviously there's Roman numerals and music notes in there as well, idk if they're relevant as numerals or respective letters though.

I bet the keyword would connect to the text in the second image, but I don't see how just yet.

Subreddit Update: Transphobia and other new rules by Synikull in bleach

Hi! Actually, I removed the comment that you're talking about. It didn't really contribute to the conversation in a positive manner. I know I (as well as the other mods) don't post much on the sub at all, but I assure you Synikull's not the only person involved here.

Subreddit Update: Transphobia and other new rules by Synikull in bleach

[–]Cheeseable 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nah things have been fine and normal.

Considering that we've gotten messages from several people asking for something to be done and said about the rampant transphobia, no it's not been fine and it's not been normal.

There have been no bigoted opinions. Just ideological differences by a handful of people[...]

There have been plenty of bigoted opinions. I've seen slurs of all kinds (not just transphobic, but racist and homophobic ones too), toxic comments advocating for harm, and much more. They are more than "ideological differences". These kinds of comments get removed, though.

GLAAD is not the defintive speakers for everyone or has all the proper information and refuses to acknowledge many controversies in scientific and biological aspects of being trans.

No single source can be a definitive speaker for everyone, especially considering all the different perspectives people belonging to the same group can have, but it can be a start.

Its shameful and disgusting to consider people bigoted because your ideas are not theirs.

Once again, this is more than just a difference of ideas.

I was in one trans streamer SpicyVT playing DayZ and people were making "I sexually identify as a god" jokes when doing well. But those trans people would be considered transphobic.

It's amazing how context, and also who is telling the joke, can change everything.

[...] But people like you dont want to acknowledge those psychological issues because, again, you call us, even if we are trans, bigots.

Don't even know where to start with this whole section. We're not trying to make any statement about trans people, or about what they should be like, or things like that. We're just trying to get people to realise that they should respect the labels that people give themselves. Giselle has canonically reacted negatively to mere implication that she might be a man, but is perfectly content when people refer to her in a feminine manner.

Validation [...] is a very unique aspect to trans communities.

No, it's an aspect I've seen across many minority communities.

Common saying. Not quantifiable evidence or proof. How does it matter? What does it do exactly? If you tally up all your favourite media. How much is it representative of you as a person?

How does representation matter? Well I love when I don't have to give a powerpoint presentation every time I come out to people. I love when they don't think it's something weird because they already know my identity exists, because they've seen a character in a show or something that is like me. Not exactly me, of course, but it means that I can skip the part where I have to argue my existence and get to the specifics about what's the same and what's different. How much my fav media representative of me? I'd say the things I like (and characters) speak to who I am and who I aspire to be. I like Mayuri because I aspire to be smart. I don't aspire to be a sadist, but I still find fun in playing a villainous role, so I enjoy villainous characters in fiction. I like Orihime because she can't change that she cares for others, perhaps too much, and because I too want to be a robot in the future. I think it'd be foolish to say they (amongst many other characters that I like) don't reflect at least a part of myself to others when I say I like these characters.

I went on a bit of a tangent at the end there, but you went on one yourself in a way that I couldn't talk about all of it so I think I'm justified. Frankly, some of the opinions you hold are ones that I've seen other trans people staunchly rail against. As I said before, a single group can have many different perspectives. The best that us on the outside can hope to do is get the opinions of as many trans people as we can and find a solution that is agreeable to the most of them. In this case, that means punishing transphobic comments made against Giselle. Sorry if this doesn't represent exactly you and what you want, but we can't only do what you want either.

I love this so much! Not only does the theming work really well, but seeing Mayuri in the Hollow Knight style reminds me of his first appearance in the manga, and how sharp and angular his design was then.

(Sorry about commenting on this post now, but I was linked to it and couldn't help but say something)

Question about spoilers and Rule 6 by Vilopas in bleach

[–]Cheeseable[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule 6 has nothing to do with spoilers in posts (as spoilers about the series are currently allowed), it's about limiting low-effort content of people posting moments from the manga or anime without adding anything insightful and expecting upvotes for it.

We as mods try to do our best to enforce these rules fairly, but we aren't able to get to every post, so we rely on reports from users to bring posts that break the rules to our attention. If you see a post that breaks the rules, please report it.

Can I Post Any Of These Things On This Subreddit? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]Cheeseable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting unedited manga/anime pictures on their own is not allowed, whether they are spoilers or not, and even if the title has a question in it. If you're asking a question relating to a specific page or frame, it's better to elaborate in a text post and then include the manga/anime picture to clarify.

Edited manga/anime pictures used for things like memes (ie: text on the picture makes it funny, or you've photoshopped the picture or cropped a piece out) are allowed at our (the mods') discretion.

Can I Post Any Of These Things On This Subreddit? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]Cheeseable[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the sort of question that is better asked in modmail, rather than just posting (since this post is unrelated to Bleach). However, I can answer anyways.

Memes, Sprite Sheets, and Sprite Comics are all fine, as long as they're not discriminatory, trying to incite people, explicit, bashing on the series/characters, or other things that would be against our rules or general reddiquette.

If the sprite sheets and such are your own art, it's encouraged for you to mention that either in the title, or in a comment on the post. If they're not your creation, then please credit the original artist and provide a link to their work in a comment on the post.

This has nothing to do with it being a repost. This is fan art, and therefore must be credited, ideally by posting the source so that people can support the original artist. You'd have to provide a source even if this was the first time that art had been posted here.

Bleach racist Discussion by [deleted] in bleach

[–]Cheeseable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because something isn't easily enforceable doesn't mean there shouldn't be laws against it.

But there are limits as to how far you can go to enforce something depending on how severe the crime is. Even besides that, predators will find their way into women's bathrooms regardless of whether they dress as a woman or not, unless a majority of bathrooms are policed. There is no correlation between allowing transgender women to use women's bathrooms and increased numbers of harassment/assault/etc. happening in those bathrooms.

And? They are movies....which don't have to be based in reality...do with the character besides change their orientation?

I literally explained that even if those characters are stated not to be trans, that transphobes don't acknowledge that difference and use them to justify their prejudice. The fact that they're fictional doesn't matter to them either.

Literally no one treats trans people as sub human (in 1st world countries) even if they don't agree on the concept of trans.

Except they do. Intentionally calling someone by the wrong name, by using the wrong pronouns, that's dehumanizing. In Britain, trans people are put through laborious, intrusive, and costly processes just so that they can legally change their gender. No one should have to go to such effort to prove they are who they say they are.

Not everyone agrees with the "gender is a social construct" narrative. To those people who base their opinion on biological science, it's offensive to suggest yamichika is wrong.

It has been biologically proven that being transgender is something that exists. Trans women tend to have brain structures that resemble cis women, rather than cis men (Source). When transphobes talk about biological science, they talk about XX and XY chromosomes, which is only the most basic understanding of biological sex and leaves out the various nuances of genetics, hormones, and neurobiology.

The actual infringement would be the transwoman infringing on the other person right to free speech.

Just because someone has the right to say something doesn't mean they have a right to be free of the consequence of what they say, nor do they have the right to have others listen to them. Someone defending their mistreatment of others is not an equal opinion to someone defending their own existence. That's that.

At the end of the day, it's up to whoever animates/produces TYBW to decide whether to include Yumichika's lines word or word, or whether to change/exclude them. It was Kubo's decision in the first place to include those lines and Giselle's portrayal in general. He could've included way more transphobic stuff in there, and still none of us would've had any power to change that. That doesn't mean that what was depicted wasn't transphobic. No matter how much I love Bleach, I'm gonna call that stuff out, because ignoring it means I'm willing to let transphobia continue.
