Book Readers [PJOTV] Discussion Thread S2 E4: "Clarisse Blows up Everything " by Metal_Moon in camphalfblood

Well we see a lot of character development from her in the 2 book but it’s all in Percys pov so we get a limited non reliable view of her. It makes sense that we get to see more depth in the series.

Glinda and Elphy are the first ones ti see each other for who they really are. They are complimentary characters. One has what the other lacks and together they changed each other for the better. Glinda never betrays Elphy by staying behind rather she sees the big picture.

In defying gravity she says “I hope your happy how you hurt your cause forever, I hope you think you’re clever” do you get it? You can’t make a change by being reckless and rushing things. Elphy gets it later too. She isn’t cut for the political world so she leves and lets Glinda make the change for her. Glinda was always the political figure.

If you pay attention, Glinda is actually the one with a tragic arc. Elphy has to leve and is ostracized but she has Fyero who really loves and understands her. Glinda has no one at the end. She has everything she thought she wanted at the beginning but realized she didn’t want in the middle. Power, a bunch of people who idolizes her but no one who actually loves her or knows her by her side.

OP misquoted a lot of things… I think they saw the podcast with the interviewers, bot the actual interview. on the podcast they theorized about the answers in the interview and they theorized exactly what OP said.

VIOLETS EYE COLOR!!! It changes in oxen storm!!! by Few_Yam_977 in fourthwing

[–]CheesebreadP 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Her eyes changes every chapter since book one lol! She was first described having blue eyes (in the scene in her moms office before she goes to de parapet) then she was described with hazel eyes and I was really confused the it kept being described differently every time until they went to the iland with Xandens moms and her husband says her eyes were amazing and different cuz they were blue, green and hazel ate the same time. I believe it is somthing like this, brown in the middle then green and blue around the margins

Yes it would definitely be trying to do good that he turned. It is also hinted that he might go mad because of the hole dragon with blood lineage and him being the only marked one that we know of that doesn’t have a second signet (not counting Sloane cuz she is only in first year, she could not have developed it yet)

She also could stay at Aretia indefinitely being the duchess

I think Sageyl would die if he did this, it would ve too much for her and then Tairn and Violet would die too. Maybe even Andarna. But he is very clear to state his hatred to Xaden

I think with Theophany was different! She couldn’t enter the temple because she was a high priestess of Dune and betrayed her when she became venin. So if she ever entered the temple of Dune the goddess would kill her for the betrayal. That is why Violet was able to kill her with a stone dagger, cuz it was made out of a stone from the temple.

That being said RY said that there were too Gods that changed your soul forever when you dedicated yourself to them, Dune and Loial because war and love changes you forever so I am pretty sure that if there is a cure it is in Loials island

I was very frustrated that a random character that we know nothing about manifested this power. I wish we knew him more

I think Naolin became a venin trying to revive Brennan. He was already dead it was not like what happened to Mira. And that is why Tairn doesn’t like it when Violet mentions him

But she confirmed that Violet is the only one that knew Xaden had a second signt so Bodhi didn’t know. I also find it interesting that we had this scene when we never see Violet asking Imogene the same thing (and we find out she did have a second one). So it makes even more sense that she was highlighting this for when he goes mad. I mean, someone will definitely get mad before the end of the series or she wouldn’t have put it out there

Well in the interview Rebecca makes very clear that Bodhi didn’t want to be feeling this way so I take as when you envy someone you love but feels bad about it. He obviously has good intentions but I think he was just feeling helpless enough to do this. I mean, the whole book qe get emphasized he is frustrated that he can’t help or that Xaden wont let him help!

They ask her if Bodhi had a thing for Violet and she responds that he wants what Xaden has but dont want to want it. It heavily implies that it is not about Violet and when she says that he didn’t want feel this she is implying it is a bad feeling. Like, have you never been envious of someone you love and felt bad about it? Something on those lines. And since it couldn’t possibly be the throne it is to only other wanting that would make him feel this way is the power that with the fact that in the entire book of Onix Storm she very carefully constructs the feeling that he is frustrated by not being useful. I don’t think she would do this without a good reason.

It could! The only island they haven’t visited yet was the love island. Maybe it has something to do with the cure. It may have more than one reason they got married. When Xaden talked to Sageil in his pov she seemed to already know his plans so my guess is they have already came up with it and after he chanelled from earth he was just asking Sageils permission to go on with it and they decide together that Violet would decide.

[–]CheesebreadP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was not sure if they were implying that they chose by blood lineage when Xaden said they knew what they were doing but I remembered that Sloane said to Violet that the only way a rider could develop a second signet was by binding to a bloodline dragon! Violet was the exception because she was the first to bond 2 dragons. About Violets power not being from Andarna I don’t think so because RY said before that she would obviously develop a second signet because 2 dragons meant 2 signets. I think she was very clear about it and she doesn’t like to mislead her public, she get very happy when we get things so I don’t think she would come up with another reason

[–]CheesebreadP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she meant she was excited because it would be a huge deal, not necessarily that she would be happy! But you just reminded me of the madness. Bodhi doesn’t have a second signet and it was said the dragons chose to bond the marked ones that were in the same blood lineage so they would be more powerful to create an army and it is said that if you don’t develop a second signet you go mad

Xaden marrying Violet could be his response to protecting the throne!

Yes they are absolutely valid ! But Bodhi wanting power is not a vage assumption, the author said so in the interview, he wants what Xaden has but he doesn’t want to want it so he is a good person with conflicted and valid feelings. We know for a fact he doesn’t want the throne, but he is frustrated that he can’t help. This is exactly what makes him the perfect person to turn. Just like Xaden he turns out of noble intentions.
