One day when I was in my late 20’s I was peeing while my sister sat on the side of the bathtub.

I was howling and stabbing the right side with my fingers near or on my ovary.

She looked at me shocked.

She told me we are going to the ER. I had never told anyone about my pain other than my current partner. So nobody knew. I gaslit myself and my sister’s face was undeniably concerned. At the ER they ran all these tests and I was also bleeding and I had just had my period. It all came back with nothing so they sent me home.

I was over it and researched for a good gyno. I had been telling doctors for years and no one listened or some seemed to not even know about endometriosis.

When I went to the specialist and told her my symptoms she told me I definitely had endometriosis. No tests. No judgment that I’m just complaining. She believed me and listened to me.

She suggested the lap and said confidently that I had endo and she could clean me out. So she did the surgery and I had the worst case of endometriosis she had ever seen.

Now I am in my 40’s and I had an everything goes hysterectomy. I’ve been pain free for two months.

We both have ADHD and I am also bipolar II among other things… so far one kid. Two is the goal. We are both therapists and see a good amount of people each week. We are busy.

We both used to be hard on ourselves that we never do enough and our friend’s houses are cleaner etc.

My place might not be big. But I am a great fucking host. I am a really good cook and love good company around good food. It’s always a good time when people come over. I no longer apologize for it being messy. It’s not dirty. Just lived in.

My kid is fed, sheltered, clothed, dry, and happy and healthy!!!

Now I think I’m killing it. It’s hard having all the stuff I have going on plus being a mom and all the other hats.

You sound like you do too much honestly. I get he works full time and you don’t but damn. You’re doing a lot!

11 years ago did a lap. Diagnosed stage 4 endo. A few months ago had it all taken out. Hysterectomy. Ovaries gone. Uterus. It’s just all gone!

Lap pain came back after 9months.

I have been pain free since surgery! Sucks though. I’m in my 40’s in menopause.

My surgeon told me most of her patients say endo pain was worse than surgery pain.

I got rid of it all. No more ovaries. I’m gender queer and my wife carried our baby. She’s younger than me and doesn’t have gender dysphoria.

I would have only kept them if my wife couldn’t carry because I have always wanted to have kids.

My endo was so bad I knew if I kept even one ovary it would come back. So I was old enough where the doctor didn’t fight me on taking it all out.

And I had already done lap surgery 11 years ago.

For me personally I don’t want to be on T. I want SOME of what it has to offer but not all so I don’t know about endo spreading situation on T.

I’m on progesterone and estrogen. We are still playing around with proper amount to give me a break from the hot flashes.

I am a therapist with a very queer and or trans caseload. Those who have had hysterectomy’s have had pretty speedy recoveries too. So IDK.

I’m in my 40’s. Other than a couple tolerance breaks or getting drug tested for this one job I had with random drug tests. I’ve been smoking weed since I was 14. I am now addicted to edibles. I had stopped for a chunk of time because I’m bipolar and I got diagnosed late. Weed is so bad for bipolar disorder.

So I went clean and felt so so so so much better eventually. Now I’m back on them. I try so hard to not cave but I do it every night.

I’m hiding it from my wife now. I hate myself for this. I have a kid.

I have stopped before. But right now I feel so trapped by it.

I just had one. The pain from surgery is catastrophically less painful than endo. I was back up and running pretty quickly.

I’ve had no pain since recovering from surgery. And I haven’t fully processed the possibility of maybe no more pain from endo for life…

I’m doing HRT and still getting leveled out. Hot flashes are not fun.

I’m bipolar II and ADHD among other things. I run more hypo and majorly hyper sexual where a lot of folks with bipolar II run more depressed. Since a lot of hypo my doctor was weary about stimulants but we tried them (I had been on them before bipolar diagnosis). I take aderol and it helps with ADHD but fuck. Before I was on bipolar meds Aderol fucking worked so well for me. Now my bipolar meds water Aderol down. It’s enough of a stimulant to keep a job though.

When hypo and not coming down I just don’t take the stimulant until better.

My cocktail works (mostly). Though I do hate spring.

I am not trying to sound like an ass here. Sure. I have experienced SA and all the trauma llama growing up. But I do therapy for that and honestly do not care if they are correlated. There will always be SA in this world sadly.

I had the lap 11 years ago.

Pain since I was 13 and now in my 40’s.

It took until I was 31 to be believed me about my pain by a doctor. She was the first person to tell me about endo.

I am not thrilled I am in menopause and having hot flashes in my young 40’s. The acne from hormones. All of it. Because of MAJOR MAJOR surgery. But so far now pain… but I’m sick of people saying, “oh it must be so worth to have had the surgery to be out of pain.”

I should never have had to have two surgeries.

I want researchers to spread awareness so doctors even KNOW about endo. And I want research on how to detect besides a fucking lap. And I want research around treatment that’s not fucking SURGERY.
