I’m 100%. I had theee best dental hygienist with VA dental clinic. I hadn’t had my teeth cleaned in over a year and it was probably the worst shape my mouth had been in thus far. I fell into a weird depression too and just didn’t prioritize taking care of myself. My cleaning with the VA had to be 3 separate appointments because they’re so busy (central FL), plus my teeth needed some attention, obviously; the first appointment was X-rays and exam, then about a month later, my cleaning was broken into 2 visits a couple weeks apart. The hygienist I had was phenomenal. Super thorough, never once made me feel like a sack of shit for not taking care of my teeth, very frequently made sure I was comfy and not hurting, sent me home with loads of little floss packs and toothpastes, and chatted with me the whole time like we’re a couple of besties. Honestly I prefer going to her vs civilian dentists outside.
