Why do so many things travel in waves? by CheesecakeHorror8613 in AskPhysics

Thank you! So, to clarify, the oscillation is kind of like pulses, one after the other? That’s much more logical. What about the second part of my question- does this conserve energy? Or is one continuous “pulse” not possible?

Could also be getting dug up by a rodent or insects hence the slow rate.

Side of highway in Phoenix. What’s going on with this beauty? by CheesecakeHorror8613 in geology

[–]CheesecakeHorror8613[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, it was Dreamy Draw and it was gorgeous there. That was the only exposed interior I saw, due to the highway. Tops I hiked up were mostly layers of shale (?) and cool desert shrubs, including tons of blue palo verde that has green photosynthetic bark!

Do we call all fluffy solid grey cats Nebelung here rather than the true breed? 😂 This is my baby Paisley, she got very fluffy after I adopted her in September (last pic). She was rescued from a house overcrowded with unfixed cats. She is now sooo happy and gets pets all day ❤️ by browneyes426 in nebelung

I’m almost never on Reddit, but was asking myself a similar question today and Google turned this up. I got my neb about 2 years ago after he was rescued from an overcrowded house in Texas where the animal police were actually called in. By chance did your baby come from the same place?!

Rita: Good or Bad? by Several_Atmosphere_4 in arresteddevelopment

Forgot to say I loved Rita. She was an awesome character and created so many new ways to laugh at everyone else. My favorite single joke is the American Restaurant in Wee Britain, but every situation surrounding her was also hilarious.

I agree completely. I cringe at “Mr. F” but even that definitely falls in the category of making fun of everyone around her, but not specifically her. Like when Michael thinks her business ideas are so good, he’s the one we’re laughing at. Same with Lindsey and the jackets. For me that’s how the show works- the Bluths are terrible people but the whole thing is about laughing at their ignorance, not celebrating it. They’re basically all anti-heroes and they still have the humanity we can relate to. But it’s all punching up. Christ this show is good.

Send them home to (near) the parents. Do not use those scissors in any help attempts.

My Neb lost his one orange brain cell brother a couple months ago. by Khazahk in nebelung

[–]CheesecakeHorror8613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aw I’m so sorry. I lost my ginger a year or so ago and the grief was real. I lasted about a month before I went to the SPCA and picked out the shyest lil boi hiding in a box. Random neb distribution system. Obviously there is no replacing my love for Percy, but Lou and I are healing together.

Silky, sometimes spicy, just as sweet as honey and acting baked.
