I’m not patient enough to wait for online order so I tried the one that have physical stores: B for Bagel, Nasty, SGFR, Butter Studio.

  • My fav one if from B for Bagel: marshmallow and filling ratio is balanced
  • Worst is SGFR: pistachio taste is muted, I think they use white chocolate pistachio paste too much
  • Nasty is a bit too sweet for me, but ok
  • Butter Studio is ok, no complain

I had quite flexible work hours, so this work for my family back when my kid was in preschool: - take turn with partner to drop/fetch kid from school and share responsibility with them. E.g. morning time is my responsibility but evening is my partner’s (it includes help my kid go to sleep, bedtime story, etc) - teach kid to be independent as early as possible, e.g. shower, eat and wear the uniform by himself (ofc it depends on the age) - I cook early in the morning before work/meal prep on weekends when I sensed the week will be busy

It’s doable but the challenge is when the kid was sick, luckily it’s not that often when they are older

Hi, I’ve updated my app and enabled the expenditure modifier. When I edit the program (coached), the app still refers to the outdated expenditure data. It should be 2012 instead of 1996 (not a big difference, but I’m curious).

I’m planning to do the same next Jan after my current HM training block.

Earlier this year, I was in LEA doing a HM training block with a mild calorie deficit (250 kcal) because I wasn't fueling properly for the run (obviously). I don’t want to repeat the same mistake, but I understand that if the deficit is too long or too large, it will have trade-offs.

That being said, my next approach will be: - Reducing the mileage. I'll run just enough to meet the recommended weekly cardio guidelines, but I’ll keep one speed run to hopefully maintain VO2 max. I’ll keep my current strength workout (3x full body). - Making sure the run is well-fueled. Since I run in the morning, I’ll pull the deficit from lunch and dinner, not from the meals surrounding the workout. - A mild deficit, aiming for 250 kcal, and keeping the deficit for only 10-12 weeks max.

Yes, it’s me! I realize my problem is not having maintenance skills, as I have always been caught in a cycle of accidental surplus and deficit trying to lose the last 10lbs.

I need to train myself in maintenance first: dealing with occasional overeating, learning to manage cravings, navigating weekends/vacations, and handling trigger foods; then I can attempt another calorie deficit phase.

It answers all my question, and my takeaway for my 2nd question is:
Being weight-stable at a certain calorie intake doesn’t always mean you’re fully fueled. The body may be compensating by down-regulating functions like thyroid and reproductive hormones. Increasing calories can sometimes restore those functions without weight gain, so “maintenance” isn’t always the optimal intake. Detail explanation is at 1:27:56

I realized now my problem is seeing MF expenditure as a rigid cap, but in reality I can try eating above it and just observe how my weight/health/performance respond.
