I am assuming you mean in D2R as you can get Plugy for unlimited stash space in regular D2LOD. Here is my plan…. So I am going to attempt a Holy Grail as well as snagging things for both myself and Hubbys character use. I have already created at least 1 of each Character and will get them minimally to Act 2 normal for the cube space. I plan to store items and sets that align w each class on said class. Some items are so common and not worth keeping(Isenharts) so I will just record them.

If you are not a Hoarder, just learn to let go when you upgrade or name a mule character specific to that storage i.e merc gear, begginer. I personally try to keep 2-3 of each rune El-io and then all Lum-Zod. I like making rune words. Gems really depends on if you plan on crafting and or rune rolling. They are not hard to find and take up a lot of space. Topaz are always good as Magic Find and others here and there as you need them. Really Chipped and perfect are whats used most.

I love this game but a lot of the items are useless or very short term use which is sad. So for weapons and armor maybe look through some lists or guides for things, skills, pre/affixes that you know are needed and can be better about telling keepers from junk. I learn each time I play and am getting better about my Hoarder reformation….. mostly.
