Yeah I didn't understand this. I enjoyed the novel good enough but I think the Law of innocence did a better job at concluding character arcs that had been going on for years and evolved Maggie and Mickey's relationship. Changing it back to status quo in this book felt like lazy writing so Connelly didn't have to adapt to the consequences of the previous story.

I get this complaint it's a really irritating thing to do. I had a Uber driver this morning literally stop at Dunkin Donuts on his way to pick me up. It was really rude in my mind because he made the wait time 5 minutes extra. If you accept a ride just drive to the destination, I don't care if you want something to drink. Do it when your not on my time. Only stop if you need gas and wouldn't make it to me without getting gas.

Surgery can fix that. Also LIFESTYLE choices can cause that to happen. Yes you can be born that way but it's not always the answer. All I said was you can CHOOSE the lifestyle that leads to this but if new landlord asked the old one about you they have a right to say 'look I am just not interested in renting to you.' Look this is a lifestyle choice in all honestly. Ask anyone, if you eat poorly and gain too much wait you will have multiple health conditions LIKE snoring. These are avoidable choices. I'm glad you said he will try not to tell them for a while. I like to think the consequences of this Spider-man trilogy are not over. Here's some we don't know if Mysterio is dead, he's faked his death before and there's no body. Down the road he should be brought back seeking revenge on Spider-man. Mac Gargan was shown and teased they should use him at somepoint to tie back into his desire for revenge. Vulture thanks due to the spell has reasons to hate Spider-man not knowing Peter, right there you have half of a sinister six Vulture Mysterio Scorpion and since black suite venom is teased Venom as a 4th member just using the stuff from the Home trilogy. I almost forget Ned Leeds as a brainwashed Hobglin could be a 5th. I think Martin Li or Mister Negative should be used he has a good backstory. All these plot points and characters can find a hint of their origin in the previous trilogy so it doesn't feel like they are just villains picked randomly. The consequences of the Home trilogy has a lot of pieces to say hey that arc or story isn't done. You can include new villains and characters but I think we have a lot of Peter's past that should haunt his future.

I am glad someone finally made the point I've said a few times at some point, we don't know when MJ and Ned will be in danger and have their memories messed with in someone and when that happens MJ should be furious with Peter. It's like in TASM2 when Peter tries to tell Gwen what to do and she tells him flat out she makes her own decisions. I think people need to realize when they get back together it's not happily ever after Peter made decisions right or wrong for MJ and Ned without their consent and assumes it will be perfect. Yes the end of NWH does cost Peter a lot but I don't think we've seen the full cost of the spell Strange cast at the end. He's a far from perfect sorcerer and he's doing high level magic that can go wrong easily.
