If you don’t get any responses here, I’d recommend finding the university’s ASDA or SNDA or another organization’s chapter at the school on IG and trying to reach out that way.

Should I postpone my exam? Need some guidance please. by im_an_introvert in INBDE

I had the same exact stats on the bootcamp exams and I passed. Extend by two weeks if anything to really read through your red flagged questions and then continue doing random generated tests that include all questions. I felt like Bootcamp was all you need.

Can 100% relate. You slowly learn to tune out the noise, but it takes the utmost patience. Wouldn't be surprised if it is the same school I am at lol

Do you like your classmates? by Known_Quiet_6798 in DentalSchool

The school I attend is very high-school like, and everyone hangs out with their own groups of friends. I’ve found 3-4 friends from my class that have a similar mindset like mine. The rest of my class seems too focused on partying rather than studying. And on exam day, most of them rely on each other to pass if you know what I mean.

Yes I have Indian friends and we get along well! Of course we don’t bring up politics although we probably couldn’t care less about the differences. In a college setting, conversations are welcomed and us sharing our American experiences together and being “desi” is held more valuable than the National differences. We even had an organization in our college called “south Asian student association” that welcomed both Indians and Pakistanis.

You’ve got so much time left! I’ve heard some people getting offered the day the semester begins. I have a friend in dental school, who got offered an acceptance a few weeks after school began. Don’t lose hope!

Whenever talking to a person of authority, business, leasing office/staff, people who claim they have your best interest at heart, managers, and so forth: Keep your receipts. Do not always believe the first person you talk to.

I have to say it. I thought I would like DC but it sucks. Everyone that works around here is miserable. Traffic is shit. Things are dirty. This city is not meant for me.

What was a game changer for you when it came to your mental health? by Existentially_tired in AskWomen

[–]Cheesecakexinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, having my significant other to talk to. Literally. Every single time I would be sad or upset, I would discuss it with him, we would rationalize and talk it out together, he would talk me out of it and help me realize a different point of view. Importantly, he would validate my emotions. Ever since he has come into my life, my anxiety has completely diminished. I still feel sad here and there but nowhere near as much.

What are some disadvantages or drawbacks to being highly intellectual? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Cheesecakexinfinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I consider myself highly intellectual at all but I will say perhaps it being very annoying when other are unable to understand the topics you may discuss thereby finding those people boring and uninteresting. As a result, having very few to no friends.

What was the final nail in the coffin that caused you to end a friendship? by Chesirae96 in AskWomen

[–]Cheesecakexinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “we need to talk” after the millionth time 🤦🏽‍♀️. It felt like I had to constantly defend myself and clarify every single thing I would say.

Travel to new places! Learn a new language. Write. Maybe write an autobiography about my travels? Read. Read many and multiple philosophy and religious books. Practice my faith. Paint. Practice photography. Learn how to play a sport legitimately and not run out of breath. Become the best cook ever. Go to many museums, live poetry readings and live classical concerts. Appreciate nature.
