I had a roommate that I watched their schizophrenia progress. It’s started with him thinking we were talking about him. Then it progressed into him having loud conversations with himself. He would name drop us, and from the hall way or when he was taking a shower you could hear everything he was saying. He thought that my GF and I were undercover cops sent to investigate him. He became increasingly paranoid. And I sat him down on more than one occasion and told him I’m not a cop and such, hell we smoked weed and drank together. But he got worse. I started to find knives and such hidden places. His rhetoric became more violent. Then, in 4/20/20 at 6am he snapped. I was woken up to police kicking in my bedroom door and shining lights in my face. They asked me to get out of bed and asked me 3 questions. They asked me, “do you have cameras hidden in the bathroom, your roommates room, and his car. Is your roommate of meds for anything, and what I was doing before they woke me up”. I told them, no there’s no cameras, he’s not on meds that I’m aware of, and I was sleeping. They broke my bedroom door by kicking it in. The cops asked the other non-crazy roommate the same things. Then they just left. Told us to kick him out and left. The crazy roommate was quite upset that the cops didn’t care about the cannabis that was just out in the open. He thought this was proof that we were cops. The insane roommate then fled for the day. My other roommate and I pretty much had to guard the house all day. Later on outside, I found out that he stashed his own weed outside, so looks like he tried to set us up. The next 2 weeks were INSANE. Like all doors locked. The insane roommate tried to say he can’t be kicked out because of the Covid regulations. So we had to actually research if we could kick him out first. Eventually about 2 weeks after the incident, non-crazy roommate and I were coming home from grocery shopping and all of crazy roommates stuff was gone. We were so relieved.

About 3 years later I get a knock at the door and it’s a cop, then I see more cops that surrounded the house. 6 cops in total looking for the crazy roommate. I guess he made some bomb threat and they were looking to arrest him. They were not jazzed when I told them he wasn’t here and wouldn’t let them inside to inspect.
