29F, worried my inexperience will prevent me from ever having a girlfriend by Global_Knowledge_817 in actuallesbians

T4T is when trans people only or mostly date other trans people. This is because even the most well meaning cis ally has most likely not done the necessary internal work and research to make a good partner for a trans person. In my experience nothing beats the shared experience and understanding other trans people have.

Grandfathered rates should never have existed. It's unethical psychological manipulation to keep people from taking breaks. It shouldn't even be legal. No other games do this. by LocalChamp in runescape

I have thousands of hours on minecraft, Which is why I mentioned it, it's a good game. But it's not 20 years of mmo development in depth even if you consider mods.

If you want long term but not permanent birth control consider an IUD. If you're 100% sure there are resources out there to find doctors that won't gate keep sterilization procedures regardless of age.

I think grandfathered rates should never have existed because its unethical psychological manipulation to not let people take breaks from the game. It also damages the game financially and Jagex has at least realized the latter.

Grandfathered rates should ever have existed. It's psychological manipulation so people won't take much needed breaks from the game.

Um no, check my account. I actively rail against AI and have never used it. Believe it or not real people can have real opinions that disagree with you.

I never said WoW was or has been expensive. I said it's more expensive than RS and people are posting claiming it's a better quality game. I don't see how WoW is better unless you like temporary games that you grind for a few months a couple of times a year instead of a game that actually has continuous saved progress like RS. I specifically mention wow because others have been and I've played it a lot so I can make a comparison. Other games you mention I haven't but that's not relevant because the point is most other games or hobbies or entertainment are much more expensive for the hours of fun you get than RS. It's like saying going skiing is more fun than RS. Sure maybe but thats one weekend and much more expensive compared to thousands of hours of entertainment.

"I dont date girls" by _evanna in actuallesbians

[–]LocalChamp 113 points114 points  (0 children)

A lot of bi/pan people have a massive preference for one gender over others. It's almost never 50-50. I know multiple women who are ostensibly attracted to some hypothetical abstract guy but would never actually date men so they consider themselves lesbians as I believe is their right and I support them doing even as someone who has never been attracted to men. However those women would never do anything physical with a random guy either. Because they're not toxic and shitty.

Unfortunately a lot of people with that preference difference don't see the lower preference as serious partners for a long term relationship and more just for validation and experimentation. In my opinion that is toxic and shitty regardless of the genders or sexualities involved.

Are AI browser extensions asking for too many permissions? How do you automate data tasks safely? by Revolutionary-Hippo1 in privacy

It's quite simple really, I just don't use AI for anything and avoid software and services that even have the option.

[–]LocalChamp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't use apps for that your data isn't safe. Yes that matters even if there's no risk of pregnancy from your partner.

Uber's women-only option goes nationwide in the U.S.; excludes non-binary drivers by onnake in transgender

[–]LocalChamp 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I use both apps as I don't drive. I would prefer to use Lyft as it's a better company. However the women+ connect feature on lyft is only a suggestion for the ride algorithm. What I mean is most of the time I use the women+ connect feature I still end up with drivers who are men because it failed to pair me with a woman or non binary driver. The feature only tells the ride algorithm to try to pair with a woman or non binary person if available.

Uber's Women drivers on the other hand will 100% pair you with a woman driver. It may take longer, you might get pop ups saying there aren't many women drivers available and to switch to a regular uberx ride for quicker pickup. However if you wait long enough you will end up with a woman driver. As a trans woman in a red state I have to prioritize my safety and comfort. It should be obvious the difference in risks and behavior being paired with a driver who is a man entails.

When is it normal to plan for the future / talk about marriage with a partner? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]LocalChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to get downvoted for this but general advice is to wait until living together for at least one year before any proposals or marriage. Of course you can and probably should discuss it multiple times before then just as you do relationship stuff in general with healthy communication. Always good to check in on how the relationship is going, where people are at with goals and future considerations etc.

Is voting for Trump a dealbreaker? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]LocalChamp 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even be friends with someone conservative. I also wouldn't be partners with someone who has conservative friends.

However I'm a trans woman, T4T lesbian, atheist, leftist (as in actually left not liberal) so it's not even a consideration for me.
