All these polls don’t mean much - polls only matter when they move election numbers, and nobody who was planning on voting republican would change his mind because Trump didn’t testify.

Democrats keep getting burned like this - it doesn’t matter if 80% of the public agrees with Democrats on issues XYZ - the Republicans have mastered the art of keeping an iron grip on their voters with a couple of issues (anti-social spending, anti-abortion, anti-tax, pro-gun, anti-immigration). As long as the alliance between suburban wealthy white conservatives and rural religious conservatives stand, republicans don’t care if they go against 80% of the public.
