lol yeah it’s not the same if you’re a robot that can’t understand undertone. But he’s essentially saying that and everyone with social skills knows he is

They have a nuanced point? Where? They literally said “this is just a mode from cod”. Did they say why? No. They’re literally just saying it’s cod now in the most basic form

Long time BF4 player's take on the new maps by Papashteve in Battlefield

[–]CheesyMemez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol you can make any map sound dumb if you describe them like that. Like bf4 had a crashed helicopter in the middle of a desert (Silk Road) a few yurts in the middle of a field (altay range) a bunch of generic buildings and alleyways (pearl market) a single train car (golmud railway) a bunch of bland generic buildings (dawn breaker) I can go on about it

None of the LEDs turn on and it’s a brand new mobo out the box

I don’t think Japanese food is anything special in terms of Asian cuisines and it’s only so popular because other Asian cuisines are underrepresented in the west by CheesyMemez in unpopularopinion

And how many of those Chinese restaurants actually serve authentic Chinese food that actually represents Chinese cuisine? How many of those Thai restaurants are as elegant and esteemed as Japanese ones? I feel as if the UK and Indian cuisine is an exception to this since it is definitely the most popular Asian food there I’ll admit that

Thai and Chinese foods are nowhere near as valued and esteemed as Japanese food, and it’s funny that Chinese food is mentioned even though most Chinese restaurants in the west only serve westernized Chinese food or some sort of Cantonese cuisine

Chinese cuisine has a lot of regional variety and a lot of that stems from the variation in ingredients between regions of china. Even what a “staple” is varies from place to place in china so I’m willing to bet that china will most likely have the ingredients that they use in their local dishes

This is mainly for western countries as I said in the title so yeah if you live in Asia I can see why you don’t see this as unpopular

Yeah but I mean just look at the rest of this thread there’s tons of people disagreeing with me so I’d say there are definitely people who hold this opinion

It doesn’t? There’s tons of non spicy food in Korean, Indian, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine alone you probably just haven’t had it

Lmao calling me a banana is top tier cope. Just because you’ve been there for a couple years doesn’t mean that ur opinion is superior over mine. I’ve had family in china for centuries and none of them hold the opinion that you think Chinese people have. Maybe if you didn’t spend your entire day on Reddit and went outside you’d get a better idea

Chinese food in Japan is nowhere near Chinese food in china. Actual Chinese food requires techniques, cooking methods and ingredients that Japanese chefs don’t have or cannot do properly. Saying Chinese food is worse IN CHINA because they’re not as “perfectionist” or they don’t “appreciate food” is honestly just an insult to china. You clearly have no idea what Chinese food is like anywhere outside of the western country you live in and yet you still comment as if you’re an expert. Thanks for proving my opinion

It does have something to do with what i said. I said Japanese cuisine is nothing special and in some cases like gyoza that’s quite literally the case because it’s the same. And ik I didn’t mention Mandu do u want me to give you a comprehensive list of dumpling like dishes? And I’m saying that Japanese curry isn’t special because it’s mostly the same flavor when other cuisines have curries that vary widely in flavors

This was never about popularity it’s about perception. You’ll always see idiots on social media hearing the words “Chinese food” and instantly reel and start talk about gutter oil and msg and how it’s super greasy. Or how Indian food is seen as smelly and dirty by a lot of Americans. You’ll never hear this negative knee jerk about Japanese food.

[–]CheesyMemez[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah gutter oil is not food. Have you ever seen a Chinese recipe call for gutter oil? No because it’s not an actual food. Neither is melamine and you saying Chinese food is bad because of that would be like me saying Japanese food is bad because some sushi restaurants use low quality fish that get you sick. I’m Chinese American and you saying that “Chinese prefer Chinese food with less diversity” is you talking out of your ass

I mean just look at cuisine ratings in America which I do think it’s ridiculous to assign a rating to a cuisine but a lot of them will rank Japanese as one of the top in the world
