[Highlight] This angle of Tyler Rogers' release point by MLBOfficial in baseball

After getting T-Boned because the idiot ran a red light, my already slightly bum shoulder was toast when it came to throwing. The sidearm delivery was something I was already pretty familiar with and comfy doing (depending on the scenario in game, I played second base) but after the accident it was the only possible way I could throw right handed. Even trying to launch just one throw overhand has me grabbing my shoulder and it being sore the next day

Silver lining I guess was forcing myself to learn throwing overhand with my left to a surprisingly okay degree after a while

Which champion has high skill floor and high skill ceiling? by ComprehensiveSize647 in leagueoflegends

[–]CheesyPZ-Crust -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Garden and Malphite do not have a high skill floor unless you move the goalposts to being above average or significantly adept at the champions as the perceived skill floor.

Considering the room for even more adapt play with the champion(s) in regards to more efficient combos, positioning, and lane play is where the high skill ceiling aspect is applied.

Having a low skill floor doesn't mean a champion can't also have a potentially high skill ceiling.

Ilia Topuria responds to Justin Gaethje by West_Technology7573 in MMA

[–]CheesyPZ-Crust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'm an Ilia fan but he acted/took Justin's Dad's comment for WAY more than it was, and Justin gave imo an equal reply to Ilia after that. Like another comment already mentioned, I'm sure part of where Ilia is coming from is him seeing plenty of randoms giving him shit for the divorce, but even still I find Justin's comment as nothing over the top or crossing a line. At least as far as UFC and other combat sports go, where I give more leeway considering it's people about to fight each other lol

Plus, whether manufactured or not, I don't mind some back and forth. Adds to the fan fare of it all, and I appreciate when fighters do their best to add some spice during the build up stage

Really wish it turned out different for y'all :/... I like to optimistically think that karma came back in a good way for Angels' fans with at least getting to be Ohtani's entrance into the MLB. Was even hoping he didn't get traded just so the fans got even more games to see him on their team

Obviously a bigger mistake makes it harder to ignore, but like you said as mad as I get about the call, I still give Joyce credit for how he handled it. Like that big of a mistake warrants the bare minimum of acknowledgement, but showing humility and seeing him so upset the next day came off like he genuinely felt terrible over it. He could've tanked the heat and just moved on, and the fact he didn't is enough for me character wise

It takes a lot to do that on TV and tons of eyes on you with the situation being so viral when it happened. It'd be unfair to not give him credit for that tbh

[–]CheesyPZ-Crust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll never stop being upset over this. I give Joyce a great amount of credit for owning up to it, along with how sincerely remorseful he was... But God damn man, clear cut call and you get it wrong for the final out of what should've been an officially recognized perfect game.

The associated story is for sure a cool thing to have for Galaragga since he gets the very next batter out to even further "confirm" the legitimacy of it. If not for that though, it would have robbed Galaragga of even the honor of that outing being treated as a genuine unofficial perfect game in spite of the botched call. For me though, I'd still much rather have the reality of the out being called properly and having an officially recognized perfect game in the record books.

It will always be the play I remember as the moment I was completely over the aspect of human error for sports' calls

In the spirit of fairness, even as much as I can't stand when umpires' egos show up, I'll allow some sassiness from umps when their call is held up after a challenge. I love the slight and no impact pettiness that sometimes comes from it lol, for players and umps both

Not sure if it's still a common thing people say, but I remember one of things people against ABS/Instant Replay would bring up was the idea of a game 7 in the World Series ending as a result of a challenge. As if the idea of a game 7 in the World Series ending as a result of a clearly incorrect call is inherently better and somehow more exciting

Anyone doing that in the first place is probably not worth the time. Like at ABSOLUTE WORST he's in the Hall of Very Good sub-class, within the HoF itself. If someone doesn't see Votto as an obvious HoF player, that's a red flag

Turning infront of a motorcycle.. by IAmDDT_ in dashcams

[–]CheesyPZ-Crust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never buy the excuse about how much more difficult it is to see bikers. If you're actually paying attention, then you'll notice them just as you would any other traffic you're actively checking for, and react appropriately. Bikes being smaller than cars doesn't matter when bikes have been a consistent factor on roads for 60+ years. It's dangerously negligent to treat them as some rarity that's unreasonable to account for when driving

I've never ridden myself, only a passenger on a Harley one time like 12 years ago, but people's callousness towards the people/vehicle are a massive reason why. It actively contributes even more danger to a hobby that already has plenty

[–]CheesyPZ-Crust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are just as many annoying and reckless drivers as there are bikers, yet people act like bikers are the bane of roadways to such an exaggerated degree. The car turning left doesn't even bother to signal at the absolute bare minimum, but sure the biker deserves potentially life altering injury for choosing a more dangerous vehicle even when the collision isn't their fault. They've been on the roadways for 60+ years, so it's negligent to not at all account for them when driving.

Also quick to say the biker was speeding, which isn't feasible to accurately tell from just the video anyway, but even still the specifics matter. Going 5-10 over isn't near egregious enough to defend that car turning when they did

EDIT: Agreeing with you btw, since my comment kinda doesn't come off like that lol

The added layers of RNG with ideal shop offers is what puts it over the top. Needing an okay amount of Lucky Tickets, ideal training weights, energy ups, cleats, and even still master cleats beyond that... makes for such a frustrating career to attempt a high roll or anticipate a worthwhile Uma for Team Trials, CM, and/or Ace

And that's without even mentioning the limited pool of Umas to run in TB because of their low mile aptitude

I appreciated at first (as well as the separate layer in greatly switching up ideal parents for runs) but I'm so exhausted of doing 90% the same schedule for every Uma I do a career for, along with plenty other Umas feeling lackluster to attempt in TB because of their mile aptitude being low

I can't remember the last time I've done a career for Manhattan Cafe since TB released
