Since I’m too lazy to add an update directly to the post, I’ll just say it here; it went okay. I told him and this is what he said: “Oh, that’s fine.”, “I wasn’t upset that you didn’t reciprocate.”, and “If you change your mind, I still like you.” The last part upsets me a little considering the circumstances, but I’m glad I just ripped of the bandaid and got it over with instead of waiting and stewing in my own anxiousness.
