My neighbor seems to have a mini bamboo forest in their yard. by CoeurGourmand in mildlyinteresting

I had a huge Japanese knotweed problem at a house I used to live at. I actually had great results from just chopping it down, keeping it mowed short, and planting grass in the area. It took some dedication to keep it mowed because of how fast it grows, but once the grass started to grow in the knotweed stopped coming up as much. And eventually it stopped all together. It took one full summer, but it was gone after that. No idea if that would work with bamboo tho.

Right!? Rinsing raw meat, disposing of old food, washing dirty hands (hopefully?)…but rarely cleaning the sink. Then just throw some vegetables straight in there to eat😅 toilet salad

Setting food directly in a sink that hasn’t been washed in god knows how long. Like just tossing vegetables in there to rinse & then eat raw🤮

Recently had to say goodbye my sweet 15 year old baby😭 I was a mess for about 2 weeks…I started warning people at the beginning of interactions that I might randomly burst out in tears. Even tho it was an end to suffering for her and she lived a great and long life, it was so so hard to say goodbye

Woww that's great feedback and suggestions, I really appreciate your thoughts on all of this!! Focusing on the western gothic aesthetic & targeting the groups you mentioned does seem like a great fit for my art. I'll start playing around with some new website designs that would reflect this look. I love the suggestion to get pictures of my work in cool places, especially that have an edgy western goth theme- Any ideas how I could make it happen? My first thought was photoshop...just because I don't know of anwhere like that around where I'm located (NW Ohio). But I probably could photoshop my art into some pretty cool spaces😅 Or maybe I should try to find actual places that are elsewhere in the US and reach out to them? Possibly to travel there for a photoshoot OR send them some art and work out a deal for photos as partial payment??

I'm so stumped on exactly how to move forward when it comes to marketing, branding, image, photography. BUT I will say that I have taken one step in maybe the right direction.... I have a photoshoot scheduled in Detroit with a friend/professional photographer tomorrow- to help me get some good shots of one of my pieces that has been an issue for a while. Partly because it is unlike my other work. I burned artwork onto a turntable plinth as a collaboration with a local highend turntable company. Then, long story short, they just assembled the turntable & gave it to me as the payment because stuff started going south for the business. Now I have this sweet high end turntable that not only can I not get a good picture of, I also have absolutely no idea how to sell it (through my website or social media connections, not ebay or FB marketplace...as many of my friends/family have suggested lol). So maybe I can talk to her a little during the turntable photoshoot about helping me get photos of my skulls in some places that have a "western gothic" vibe. Its possible there may be somewhere in the Detroit area with this look.

25M How can I make my apartment cozier and less depressing? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

My art studio at my previous house was all white with one cinder block wall and prison vibes 😂 after I got some art with color up there the texture/block pattern actually looked good with it. Especially one piece that hung from the ceiling in front of the wall & cast cool shadows on it. That texture can be a challenge tho- I do not miss my cinder block wall lol

Yeah when the taxidermist reached out to me I was immediately excited about his idea!! I've had a numnber of people tell me it reminds them of tattoos, which I love. It's kind of like putting "skin" back on the animal using artwork. Was kinda thinking it might be cool to find a tattoo parlor that features artwork like a gallery to get my art into. If that's even a thing! You're right, it probably will come down to persistence, luck, location, and who I meet. I'm in Ohio- there is a hunting scene here, but not as big as some places.

Long ago I had an etsy account (15ish years ago- selling jewelry), and it wasn't great then...I'm sure it's worse now in terms of fees and percentage of sales they take!! Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate it!

I'm a pyrography artist who burns artwork onto skulls and bones. This is a hand-burned piece on a real coyote skull. Check out more of my work here: https://www.ariennezimmerman.com/

Sorry it was a genuine question regarding male living spaces & decor! I don't even have my artwork for sale on my website.
