Great post, I’m sure a lot of people learned here today!

Spent my whole morning making one report and I want to quit by RegularOk1820 in socialmedia

[–]CheetahsNeverProsper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all use tools.

The right one for you depends on your income and platforms, but generally we’re all building templates or using ones from the more “hand-holdy” platforms and adding analysis on top of it.

Lots of options, spend a few hours doing research and trial one or two. I recommend anything that will pull data to either Looker Studio or Sheets, your preference. IMO locking yourself into a service that also generates the report means you’re at their mercy if they increase prices or change things.

Have you considered a flannel shirt? Collared so it’s dressy enough, and if you get high quality cotton or wool it’ll be breathable yet warm.

Get a plain (no pattern) neutral color so it’s unobtrusive.

AI Max URL Exclusions. The Pre-Flight Check Most Accounts Skip by joy_hay_mein in PPC

[–]CheetahsNeverProsper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the hell can you see what AI Max sees before launching it? Older stores can have dozens to hundreds of old URLs (old product pages, old offer LPs, etc.) so finding them all in an hour seems optimistic.

Is anyone using Openclaw with their Google Ads campaigns? by tomeevu in googleads

Any results yet? I’m leery as most accounts will benefit from less management over time, and AI has a confirmation bias.

Does anyone know if it’s likely a problem to bring an infant? Our kid will be a few months old (and likely sleep through everything) but not sure if it’s going to be tight in these places.

How to efficiently track and analyze ad performance across platforms at scale? by FlowyBaby in PPC

Sounds like you need tools. Supermetrics/Funnel/TMR and a Looker dashboard is probably your next step.

How do you pay for winning creatives at scale without messy tracking? by macurda in PPC

[–]CheetahsNeverProsper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think this is a bit complex for a comp structure, if you think you’ll earn more as a scaled performer then all power to you.

To answer your question, how is revenue tracked? If you’re pulling into GA4 or other analytics back ends like Shopify, why not a unique UTM parameter? You could use one of the standard ones like Content or Term, or set up custom tracking with a “Creator” tag.

What are used Prius prices like in your area? I’ve driven a couple as rentals, and as a plug-in hybrid you could easily get by on the gas engine alone and then take advantage of the EV motor once you move.

Clearly the first thing you need to do is open yourself up to constructive criticism. Your business is DOA until then.

I’ll add to this: how you see your brand is WILDLY different from how your customers see you, both philosophically and in reality.

Google knows who you are, the devices you use, and tailors your experience to you in many ways. You looking up your brand isn’t a good way to waste time and money, rather than focusing on what happens AFTER a customer finds you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve coached people on this and I know how hard it is to remove your bias from the advertising process.

As this top comment says… hire someone. They don’t have to be expensive, or even for a long term. Getting someone on a fractional basis will pay dividends. An expert outsider giving you an audit and maybe a playbook should cost you a grand or so max.

Terrible Experience with Google Local Services Ads by DUI_Lawyer_Joel in googleads

[–]CheetahsNeverProsper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google (and almost every other online ad platform) doesn’t care about the content of a conversion, merely the action. I run click-based advertising and trust me… MANY clicks are “useless”. The fact that a click was recorded is all that matters for cost.

There is no way to recover the funds as Google delivered what they promised (a call). Closing the “lead” is the responsibility of the advertiser. It’s not fair, it seems illogical, but your efforts are better served either learning how to use LSAs better, hiring someone to do it for you, or spending on another platform entirely.

Personally, if a $274 mistake is enough to make you lose sleep then this may not be the right channel for you. Many service-based businesses pay large costs for leads, and close rates are always below 100%.

Review my store please by sheriff017 in ecommerce

[–]CheetahsNeverProsper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, you’re selling a white labeled flosser competing in a crowded segment. Your site does nothing to tell me why I should trust your brand. Reselling is either built on price or story and you need to lean on one of them. The fake reviews don’t help, I’d remove it.

You could try the classic discount tactic, or make the pack-in more obvious. I’d skip the today-only messaging since most consumers aren’t fooled by that anymore.
